Makeup Organization+ Recent Haul~

Hello everyone! LONGGGG time no update! I am really sorry about not updating as often as I should on my blog. But I really have been SUPER busy and I don't even have time to film videos and stuff, sigh.......
Anyway~ I am updating you all today with a little makeup organization +haul post, I hope you all enjoy.

First, let's start with the makeup organization. I got a little pink basket from bath &body works. I thought it is great for putting my everyday most used makeup in there so it's easier for me to grab in the morning. And although it's a little crowded, I do think it looks quite cute, haha^0^
This is my favourite little corner of my desk~

In the basket I have my everyday makeup. A little crowdede, I know^0^~

But it's full of wonders~~~ from right to left I have eye palettes, blushes, and lip/eyeliner products, the base makeups are in the back.

I divided the lip/eyeliner products by some little boxed from skincare/makeup products. Great way to re-use the packaging right?^0^

Yeah, that's my little updated makeup basket organization. New let's move on to a little haul.
First, I got this perfumer, or eau de tiolette from the body shop. The flavor is lycee blossom, it smells sooooo good. I only wish it lasts on me for a little bit longer though.

Tell you all a secret recent obsession: the vampire blood hand sanitizer from bath&body works. My roommate and I are both super obsessed with this scent. It's a plum scent but better, kind of hard to describe, but it just smells AMAZING! So I do really recommend checking out the bath&body works around you and smell this, cause I love it!

Mt friends and I also took a little trip to ULTA recently, and I just got a few things from there.
First, I got the physician's formular liquid liner because I ran out of my dollywink one, so I just want to try something new. I will do a review on this on my channel if you are interested.

Also got some falses. There are suppose to be the #1 best selling eyelashes in the U.K. so I just really want to try it out. It looks really really pretty.

Finally, a nail of the day. I got my first butter london polish. It's in the color Toff. It's a very pretty plumy mauve color. Super pretty for the fall time.

Sorry the lighting was not that good, I literally took these pictures and like 2 am so I couldn't really get natural lighting. I hope you all don't mind.

Hello everyone! As a long-time follower of beauty blogs and Youtube gurus, I thought it was time for me to add my own two cents into the mix considering I know one of these gurus-(lovesweet)Crystal! I really got into Asian make-up a few years ago and being disappointed with the shipping and some of the mark-ups on Asia-exclusive products, started to find my own budget-friendly dupes of things that I found bloggers and Youtubers raving about. Who doesn’t love a deal right? :D Let’s get started:

Beige-y pink “Dolly” glosses vs. NYC lip sliders

Cute pale pink lips are essential to a gyaru look and so brands like Canmake, Nude Bonbon, and many other Japanese brands release non-shimmery, thick and shiny glosses to meet a gyaru girl’s needs. A few gurus have talked about NYC lip sliders and although I am pretty sure they have not been discontinued, the availability is limited. These glosses are cheap, long lasting and have a slight concealing effect that is what gives gyarus that dolly pouty look. This was given to me by a friend and I have since purchased back ups!

Because they somewhat conceal the natural color of your lips, these might be a bit thick for some people and a bit sticky. But they smell like candy so….. win! I don’t own a Canmake Nudy Gloss but below are two of Crystal’s Asia exclusive glosses.

Kate palettes vs. Maybelline ColorExplosion

Any good gyaru girl (or aspiring gyaru) knows that a basic brown palette is super-essential and I caved and purchased a Kate palette in BR-1 because it was just so prettyyyyyy!! This particular palette has been discontinued sadly but many many (if not all) Japanese brands offer a similar palette in their collection.

I recently got this Maybelline palette and I’m pretty sure many people have heard these being compared to Asian eyeshadows since a version of this has been released in Asia. The previous Maybelline Eyestudio palettes are probably also a good dupe but I don’t own any so I can’t attest to similarities.

These palettes are pigmented (the green more so than the brown), long-lasting, and include a super glittery overlay that reminds me of the gold shade in the Kate palette.

Shiseido Anessa Sunscreen vs. Neutrogena Ultrasheer Liquid Sunscreen

Asian sunscreens are dramatically better than American formulas in my opinion, especially for the face. I prefer Neutrogena’s Ultrasheer Body Mist Sunblock for the body since it’s so convenient but ANYWAY, back to business. I loved the Anessa Perfect Smooth but that has been discontinued (I’m pretty sure) so enter Neutrogena Ultrasheer Liquid Sunscreen which has the shake-up formula of most Asian sunscreens and a very similar texture.

It’s liquid-y and easy to spread, with a sunscreen smell that's stronger than the Anessa, but it’s not overly offensive. I also found that it balls up more than the Anessa but this is under $17 while the Anessa is usually $30 (without shipping)…STEAL!!!

KissMe Mascara vs. Clinique high impact curling mascara

Tubing mascaras make Asian lashes longer, which is a big plus and I know these are available at Sephora now and that the Clinique is not THAT much cheaper, but I found the formula of this to be volumnizing AND lengthening, which I can’t say for all Asian tubing mascaras. This comes off more clumpy than the KissMe, which comes off thin and spidery, whereas the Clinique comes off in bigger bunches. It’s hard to describe and it’s a bit inconvenient but if it makes lashes look thicker AND longer, it’s SOOOOO worth it! (Also, this does hold a curl)

Dollywink liquid eyeliner vs. Physician’s Formula Eye Booster liquid eyeliner

The Dollywink liquid eyeliner is so cool because you don’t need to twist or dip anything to get the ink to come out and this Physician’s Formula eyeliner is the same way. It’s actually a Japanese formula so it’s super smooth and easy to use. It’s supposed to help you get longer lashes, which I actually think may be the case. Mine looked a little longer after 2 weeks of regular use.

Sorry I don’t have the black one but you can see the formula is very similar and smooth. I noticed when I was trying to take them off that the Dollywink is harder to remove even with cleansing oil.
-- Now on to the products that are actually released in the US and in Asia, so they’re basically the same thing.

Maybelline Eyestudio Gel liner

This was #1 for a while in Japan, so it’s legit good stuff. I haven’t personally used it but many can attest to its awesomeness. Basically, many companies have released gel liners now so you have a lot of options, but this is sold and loved in Japan so it belongs in this post (and cause I said so!)

Eyebrow Trimmer

These are great for Asian lashes. Especially for people like me who have really thick eyebrows and it makes trimming pretty easy. Just be careful because it’s easy to shave off half your brow if you aren’t careful.

Eyelid Tape

I’ve never had to buy eyelid tape because there’s a really easy way to make your own eyelid tape. Just go to your neighborhood Wal-Mart and go to the aisle that sells Nexcare flexible clear tape (probably in the bandage aisle). I took it out of the tape dispenser because you have to trim these yourselves into your desired shape. Others have done better tutorials so just google those for better directions but here’s the basic idea.

I hope I didn’t overly bombard you guys with information but this comes from many years of trying different products so I can stand by my recommendations and nothing is too expensive.

Also, have you guys noticed Forever 21 coming out with beauty products that look verrrrrrrrry similar to certain Asian and US brands? Hmmm….. Maybe I should do a review of those?

My travel/flight necessities! 我的旅行必需品～

Hello everyone! I am actually writing a post just for my blog today^0^~ I am going home soon, so I have already started backing, and I thought I would show you all what is in my travel/flight bag.
When I travel on a plane, especially for international trips (which tends to be very long), I always bring a bag like this with me. So I hope you enjoy^0^~

This is the bag I bring with me.

Here is everything in the bag:

ok, starting with lipbalm. I am really OCD about my lips and hands(although I didn't show it in this bag, but I bring a handcream with me ALL THE TIME, even when I am just going out for grocery or just going to dinner, I bring my handcream with me, haha^0^), so I need lipbalm all the time.
I brought the rosbud salve for during the flight, and when I get off, I will put on the jack black one, which contains spf.

Another must have is blotting sheets, because my T zone tends to get oily, so I need blotting sheets to control the shine.

During the flight, I like to so mask, so I need to remove my makeup first. What I use is a avene cleansing water, this water is really nice, because you don't have to rinse it. I just take some with a cotton pad and wipe off my makeup, then I can directly apply my mask.

The mask I am bringing on this trip is the my beauty diary birds nest mask. I like to bring hydrating mask with my on the plane because it is really dry on the plane, and I just need the moisture from a hydrating mask. I also like how you don't need to wash this mask off afterwards^0^~

After the mask, you obviously need to lock in the moisture by using a moisturizing cream. I just brought some samples with me, a skinfood eye cream sample and the first aid beauty ultra repair cream sample.(I love samples for travel^0^~)

Before I get off the plane, I will apply sunscreen to my face and neck to protect myself from the sun after I walk out of the airport.

For the makeup part, I am only bringing a eyebrow pencil, because during flights, I don't like to wear makeup since it just dries out my skin even more.

Finally, to make sure i can see everything, I need a mirror^0^~

That is my necessities travel/flight bag. I do bring more skincare and makeup products with me, but this is just what I think I would need on a long plane trip.

Imomoko+Sephora Haul~

Hello everyone! I have a collective haul today!Don't you love hauls^0^~(I do!!)Just a few things from imomoko, and some goodies from the sephora f&f sale. Hope you enjoy!
From imomoko~:

First, I got the very exciting shu uemura face architech powder foudation! (I told you all I am really into shu uemura recently, haha^0^~)

Of course, the LE palette is what really draws my attention.^_^

Beautiful design, and the foundation itself is very nice too~~^0^

Next I also got some new masks from the new Face Q line, super cute packaging!I got the whitening kind.

ok, moving on to sephora.

First, I got the juice beauty acne serum. I have been breaking out quite a bit recently, so I just want to get something that can help control acne.
This serum is very light~

Then I got the ole henriksen age defining duo. This set was a pretty good deal, so I just got it for travel.

The last skincare item I got was the Josie Maran argan oil. I really want to compare this with the kiehls midnight recovery concentrate. So I will report back on that.

I forgot to show these in my video but I got a pack of the tokidoki blotting paper(the packaging is sooo cute^0^) and a jack black lip balm in the original flavor.

This lip balm has spf25 and is not drying at all, which is amazing. It smells and tastes minty, and is kind of cooling on the lips.

Finally I got a new dior addict lipstick. These were really expensive (I know), but i just really couldn't resist because they look so pretty.
The color I got was 465 singuliere

Health and Diet: How to healthily loose weight

Hello everyone! Today I want to talk a little bit about this very requested topic---health and diet.
Yes, I have been on a strict diet before; no, I don't think everyone needs a diet. God made us differently, that is why we look different, and no matter how we look, we are beautiful the way we are. I truely believe that, and the reason for me to go on diet was not because I think I look awful, but just because I want to be a little more healthy. So please don't think that I am telling everyone to go on diet, you don't need to as long as you think you are living a healthy life.
First I want to clarify that diet plans do vary from person to person according to body type, blood type and so on. So what worked for me might not work for you.

ok, onto the real topic. I talked about this in a little more detail in my video, so feel free to go over and watch that, subscribe if you haven't already. But here i am just going to list my general ristrictions and my meal plans.

General ristrictions(a life long habit):
-no sweets, desserts, or fruit with high sugar content after 3:00p.m.
-no fried stuff for the first 90 days of the diet (after that, I am only eat fried stuff about 1-2 times a month)
-no soda (EVER!!)
-sleep from 11:00p.m. to 7:00 a.m. everyday for the first 90 days of the diet

Meal plans/l
1st 4 weeks:
BREAKFAST:anything I want, eat until full, but before 8:00 a.m. ONLY!
LUNCH: half a bowl of rice, lots of vegatables and some meat (which meat preferably)
DINNER (after 3:00 p.m.)：1 cup of low fast yogert and 1 cucumber ONLY!
+
exercise at least 2-3 hrs a day: you can choose to dance, swim, jog or do any sport you like

4th-6th week:
Everything remains the same excep adding some vegie to your dinner
*have to still eat yogert and cucumber during dinner

6th-12th week:
everything remains the same, besides adding a little bit if meat to your dinner, such as half a pieve of chick breast or the equivalent
*have to still eat yogert and cucumber during dinner
you may need to add on a little more exercise in order to keep loosing weight, because by this time your body has already adjust to your new eating habbit, so you may not see as obvious of a weight loosing trend as before.

Note:
1) A good way to keep yourself motivated is to weigh yourself first thing in the morning everyday. When you see yourself getting more healthy, you will be motivated to remain the plan.
2) You have to be very CONSISTENT with your plan, you can't even break your plan one day, because once you break it once, it is too easy to break it again
3) You cannot just start eating whatever after the three month, you need to VERY VERY VERY slowly add things to your diet. I kept eating cucumber and yogert to another 3 weeks after the 3 months diet, and it took me 1 yr to slowly come back to a normal diet

CherryCulture Haul~ NYX, Milani

Hello everyone! I have a quick haul for you today from cherry culture. I really love shopping there, not only because I love NYX products, but also because the website is "cherry"culture, haha^0^. Hope you enjoy!

Family picture of all the goodies:

I really want to try the Milani 3D glizy glamour gloss, because I have seen so many bloggers rave about it. So I finally got one in Designer lable, so far I am LOVING it! I love how it comes with a brush applicator and how it is not sticky at all. The sparkles in this gloss is so gorgeous!
I also got another NYX mega shine gloss in crystal soda. This is a more subtle version of designer lable, more wearable for school or work. It is not as dazzling, but still very shiney and pretty.

Swatches~

Continue with lip products, I got 2 NYX lipsticks. One is the round lipstick in circe. This is a absolute nude color. I use this when I want to completely cover up my lip color.
Another one is the NYX black lable lipstick in India. I love this one a LOT, because it is a very pretty bright pale peach color, which is something I don't have in my collection yet. I also really love the texture of the NYX black lable lipsticks. They are my absolute favourite drugstore lipsticks.

Next, I got a NYX mosaic powder in rosy. I think the pick coloe combo is so cute. However, I have tried it in the past few days, and I think this one is a little powdery, especially when you use a brush with it. But I will give it some more tries, and maybe I will do a reivew on it later.

Finally I got 2 NYX eye palettes. The quality of NYX eyeshadows are amazing, and I really am impress with the pigmentation of these 5 color eyeshadow palettes. I got one in "I dream of Barbados" and one in "I dream of St. Marteen"

Favourite US/Eupeans brands beauty products 欧美系美妆品大推荐~

Hello everyone! I just uploaded a video in chinese about my favourite european brands makeup and skincare products. I am going to write this post in english so you can read about it if you don't understand chinese.

ok, let's get started! Here are all the products I talked about in the video:

First, for skincare, I really like the kiehls midnight recovery concentrate. Which i did a FULL review on, you can read the review HERE~

Next product is the Josie Maran argan lip treatment, obviously I heard about this from fuzkittie (<3 her, haha^0^). This product is so nice, very hydrating, plumps your lips a little bit and makes your lip lines look invisible. Totally worth the investment, not to mention that the packaging is super cute and the scent is amazing, it smells like green apple~

Next I have a really cheap but really nice product, which is the Queen Helene mint julep masque. This is a clay mask that can help deep cleanse your pores and dry up acne. I feel like it does a pretty decent job cleansing the pores and help getting rid of the redness around acnes. It is not extremely drying like a lot of other clay masks I have tried, so I think it's great for people with dry skin like mine.

Now onto some makeup stuff. I haven't talked about this a lot, but I really like the Hourglass Illusion tinted moisturizer. The texture is a light cream, not oily but gives you a beautiful glow. Because it does have a pearl glow to it, I think it's more suitable for people who likes glowy base makeup.

Next product is also a glowy product, but it is a liquid highlight from benafit. It's called "girl meets pear". The packaging is very cute, it's a pink tube, and when you twist the bottle, the product comes out from the top. This highlight is a pinky gold color, very flattering for just about any skin tone.

Next I am going to talk about a really cheap gel liner. If you know me, I don't really like gel liners, because I am too lazy to wash the brush, haha^0^. But I do really like this wet and wild gel liner. It is super cheap, very smooth, not too dry, and very dark. I think this liner is great for beginners are people who are not really good at gel liner (i.e. ME!!^0^)

Next I am going to introduce some lip products (my fav!!) First is a new discovery. This is NYX black lable lipstick in 115 Heiress. It's a super natural rose color. The texture of these lipsticks are AWESOME!! They are super creamy, super smooth, very moisturizing while still being very longlasting, definitely my favourite drugstore lipsticks till date!

I also really like the nyx mega shine lipglosses. I have 4 colors right now, they are (in order of the picture): 112 frosted beige, 111 lollipop, 149 juicy red and 113 french kiss.
The packaging is quite cute for the price, very good value. The glosses are non-sticky, most of them are pretty pigmented and faily longlasting.

Another lipstick I really like is from rimmel. It's the moisture renew lipstick in 140 dreamy. This is a shimmery beige rose color, extremely flattering for asian skin tones, and perfect for the summer time^0^~

Finally I am going to talk about the VS beauty rush eyeshadows. I don't talk about this much because I am not really a fan of single shadows, but this shadows are truely high quality. They are super pigmented, very smooth and not chalky at all. There is no flyout or mess when using these shadows. I think they definitely worth the price if not more.
If you don't really mind single shadows, these are awesome choices.

MAC Natural Eye Tutorial~

Hello everyone! I finally have a tutorial for you all. As you all know, I used to be a "no-MAC" person, but I recently tried out a lot of mac products, and I have been really loving them. I made a mac shadow quad myself and today I am going to show you a natural look using this quad.
Obviously you don't have to go get the same colors, similar colors will do the same job.
Here is the finished look~

Well, let's get started^0^~
First I primed my eyes with MAC bare study paint pot, you can use any base you like.

Then I took the peachy color called "arena" and apply it over the base to and a little bit of peacy warm-toned sheen to the lids.

Now, curl your lashes and apply a tine line on your upper lash line.

Then take "sable" eyeshadow with a crease brush and apply that to the outer half of the upper lid;
then take "tempting" e/s and apply that to the inner half of the lid, try to focus the color along the lash line so it's more natural.

Then, bring the color "tempting" to the outer 1/3 of the lower lash line, and apply "expensive pink" eyeshadow to the inner 2/3 of the lower lash line for a subtle pop of color.

Finish off with applying several coats of defining mascara, I am using maybelline lash discovery. Feel free to add falses if you like.

And that's the final look^0^～

Hello everyone, here is my march favourites. I actually tried out a lot of new products this month, so I am really excited to do this favourites post for you all.

Starting with skincare:
I recently received a trial bottle of the Skin MD natural shielding lotion. Originally, I didn't have too much expectations on this because I kind of think it's just going to be another "nice" lotion, but nothing amazing. However, this lotion really surprized me. The texture is light and non-greasy, super easy to absorbe and very hydrating. It definitely becomes my favourite sping/summer moisturizer.
I will do a full review on this product with a giveaway soon!^0^

Next, I have the long raved and beloved Mizuten flower moisture gel. Really really effective and light weight, I did a review during the first video on my channel, feel free to go watch it^0^.

Moving on to makeup. First, I have the laura mercier silk creme foundation, which I just reviewed in my previous video. I really love the texture and the finish of this foundation. I like to set it with the MAC fix+ spray, which is another of my favourites, because when setting this foundation with the fix+ spary, the finish just becomes even more dewy and natural.
If you have oily skin, I do recommend setting this foudnation with a powder instead.

For cheeks, I recently got the NYX powder blush in Terra Cotta, and I really love this shade. It's a bronzy golden peach color, very nice for the summer time~

For mascara, I am really lovinf the kiss me heroine make long & curl mascara, I know I promised to review this a while ago, but seriously, I will review it soon (please forgive me...磕头)^0^

This month I am really loving the two Rock and Republic eyeshadows I got from hautelook.

I also rediscovered this NYX nude on nude natural look kit. I got this last year, but I have hardly used it, recently I started using it again, and it is really amazing. Great quality for a cheap price, who can not love that, right^0^~

Finally, for lip products, I am loving NYX black lable lipstick in Heiress, and the combo of revlon soft nude+NYX mega shine lipsloss in juicy red. The combo just gives you a very natural red lips, not overwhelming at all, and very pretty and glossy^0^~

Haul: NYX, Milani, Crown Brushes

Hello everyone! I have a haul for you today^0^! I just finished my accounting exam, haha, feelinf relieved.
I got two packages in the mail today, and I was just super excited. I only got one thing from hautelook, and everything else is from cherryculture.com

First, from hautelook, I got the crown brush travel set:

From Milani, I got the mineral blush in Luminous, really similar to Rock and Republic "call me" and nars orgasm:

Everything else is from NYX， starting with blush, I got the NYX cream blush in Natural. This is by far my favourite cream blush, the texture is soooo buttery smooth, and the color is absolutely gorgeous.

It's a very cute candy pink color.

Next, I got 2 powder blushes, one in taupe for contour, and one in terra cotta, which is a bronzy peach color.

Then, I got some lip products. I really like NYX lip products. Especially the black lable lipstick. This is my first time trying it, and I am already very very impressed, the texture is super creamy, and moisturizing, really comparible to high end lipsticks.

Tutorial：Miss Tangerine Inspired Look~

Hello everyone! Finally I have another tutorial for you guys. This is a peachy spring look inspired by the new cf from Etude House, it featured Dara Park from 2NE1 to be Miss Tangerine. Basically the theme is to use all "tangerine" colors.

Disclaimer: This is an inspired look, I am not trying to copy Dara, nor do I think I look like her, I am just doing my inpired version of the look.

Here is the finished look, if you like it, please keep reading!^0^

OK, so first, I primed my eyes with MAC bare study paint pot, you can use any primer you like.

Then, take a peachy shade, I am using MAC "Arena", and apply that all over the lid as a base color.

Then I am going to take a shimmery light peach color, and apply that on the inner half of the lids.

Then, take a bright tangerine color, and apply that to the outer half of the lids. Make sure to apply it slightly over your crease so you can still see it when you open your eyes.

Then, I will tight line my eyes with a black liner, and line the upper lash line with a brown liner.

Then I used a dark brown shade righ along the upper lash line and on the outer 1/3 of the lower lash line to add some dimensions.

Then I took the light peach color again and blend that on the inner corner of the lower lash line.

Then I applied one coat of mascara to define the lashes, if you have good enough lash condition, you can skip this step.

Because I really want to accent my eyes, so I added some really natural half lashes on the outer corners of my eyes, again, if you have good lash conditions, you can skip this step.

Now the eye makeup is done^0^~

Dara has really accented cheeks, so I used the Apricot color from the Jill Stuart Mix blush compact 06 Fresh Apricot on the apples of my cheeks, and blend it out with MAC my highland honey blush.

Dior Addict High shine lipgloss-436 Apricot Clotch
It actually is very brigh in real life already, but in camera, it just does not show up as bright, sorry~^0^

Beauty MVP: Paul & Joe Brand Overview~

Hello everyone, I just filmed my second video. It is about the paul and joe products I own.

I love Paul & Joe products. It is probably my favourite brand of all times. I think they have very qualitative makeup and skincare products. Also, if you have watch the Taiwanees drama "The Fierced Wife" 犀利人妻, you will know why I love it even more, because P&J is featured in that drama. I did a brand overview on the products I own . I hope this review is helpful~^0^

All the products I mentioned:

Paul & joe lipsticks are my favourite lipsticks to date. I love the formulation and the colors. Theya re so moisturizing and shiney and cute.

I didn't swatch the LE one because I never use it, haha, and the color is really similar to 19 anyway.

I also really like their lipglosses, they are non-sticky, very smooth and easy to apply. The brush applicator is very fine and just the right size.
The color goes on very nice and shine in the lipglosses is very very pretty.

Next I am going to talk about the pearl powders. I reviewed the 002 one in my feburary favourites video, and I just recently purchased 01. They are my favourite loose shadows, and the only loose shadows I own.

Also, if you have been reading me for a while, you will know that I really like the p&j eye glosses. I have all five colors, and they are my favourite cream shadows.

I also got 2 PJ eye palettes, both are LE, but still available on some websites.The shadows are very smooth and silky. They are also very pigmented. However, they are not as sparkly as the Lunasol shadows, so they are actually pretty natural and subtle, which really fits the theme of the brand.

Finally I have the P&J protective fluid foundation #10. I kind of ignored this foundation for a while, but it is back in use because the weather is warming up, and this foundation is super comfortable to wear in the spring and summer time.

Updated Skincare Routine----Morning

Hello everyone! I am finanlly here to do a updated skincare routine, I actually started this about 2 weeks ago. I know I haven't done reviews on most of these products, they will come very soon!^0^
OK, first I want to tell you my skin type (you can also refer to my profile on the left bar). I have combination to dry skin, now it is more combination than dry, I just have a little oily T-zone, and dry cheeks. My skin is very sensitive all the time, so I always have some redness on my cheeks. I am extremely acne prone, so I have to use an acne control product all the time.

OK, with that being said, let's start with my morning routine.

First, I will clean my face with shiseido white lucent brightening cleansing foam. I was not a big fan of this cleaser because I thought it was quite drying, but recently, since my skin is not as dry, this works pretty well.

Then, I'll tone my face with the JUJU cosmetics organic aloe toner. This is a very basic toner, but very hydrating. In the morning, I just pour some on my hands and pat it on my face until fully absorbed.

Then I'll use a salycilic acid treatment to prevent break outs. The one I'm currently using is the Kiehl's Acne Blemish control Daily skin-clearing treatment. I will review this very soon, but so far it is working pretty well.

Then, I will use an eye cream. Currently, I am using this lancome sample, it is pretty moisturizing. I love getting eye cream samples, because they actually last for a long time. This eye cream has anti-aging benefits, which is always good for any ages.

After that, I will use a moisturizing lotion. I am using the Estee Lauder Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Lotion. I used up the two creams already, and since the weather is warming up, the lotion is enough for me. It has the same scent as the cream, but in a lighter formular.

Then, I'll use a day cream, this is the DDF protect and corrent day cream with SPF 15. If I am staying indoors all day, this will be the last step, since it has spf already, and if I am just staying indoors, I don't need spf 50 or anything like that.

For school days, or even when I go out just a little bit, I apply a sunscreen. I am currently using the Kevin VinVin UV protect makeup base. This acts as both a sunscreen and a makeup primer.
This UV base will ball up on you if you use a lot, I normally apply quite a thick layer on sunscreen, but if I pack this one, it will ball up very badly, so I only can use a very sheer layer, which is fine for the spring time, but during the summer, I will have to switch to a suncreen that does not ball up.

That is all I use in the morning. When I have time during the weekends, I sometimes do a quick mask in the morning, normally a gel or cream mask that only takes 10-15 minutes.
For example, I have been using the Mizuten Flower Moisture Gel as a gel mask. I just apply a thick layer on after I wash my face and leave it on for 15 minutes and either massage it in or wipe it off with a cotton pad and some toner.
This gel is very light, soothing and moisturizing. It instantly plumps my skin and makes it very soft and hydrated. I really like this product. I am still trying out different ways to use this product, I will have a full review coming soon.

The gel is a clear light pink color.

That is pretty much all for my morning skincare routine. I don't do much in the morning because I normally don't have much time. I will do a night skincare routine and a skincare extras post very soon. Thank you very much for reading.

Collective Haul: MAC, Sephora, The Body Shop~

Hello everyone! Happy sunday! I am actually really enjoying today because i am actually on spring break right now, so no classes tomorrow, yeah^0^~
I picked up some products recently, so I thought I'd show them to you.

OK, starting with MAC, I finally decided that I am going to try out MAC eyeshadows, so my friends helped me picked out a few shades, basicly I just made a 4-shadow quad myself. I really love all the colors I picked out, and I do have to agree that MAC does have very high quality eye shadows. But I still prefer Japanese shadows a little better because I think the shimmers in Japanese shadows are a little more flattering for Asian skin tones.
I got the empty quad with 4 pan eyeshadows because it's actually a lot cheaper that way, even with the back to mac thing.

Here is the quad, starting with the left upper corner clockwise are: Arena, expensive pink, tempting, sable

If you like some of these shades, there are actually a few dupes from the Urban Decay Naked palette. Tempting is really similar to smog from urban decay. (left: tempting; right: smog)

Also, sable is really similar to toasted from the Naked palette too.

Also, got 2 things from sephora. First is the Sephora I.T. round powder brush #120. This has been on my wish list for a LONG time already, and I think this will be really nice for the summer when I use mineral foundation.

The powder brush is really big and is really fast for applying mineral makeup. The brisles are also really soft and nice.The best thing is that it comes with a cap, so I can keep the brush clean. Also, it is PINK!! So cute^0^~

Then, I also got the Tokidoki tinted lip balm in Donutella. It features the Donut girl, I thought it is soooo cute, so I just picked it up. It is a very sheer bright melon pink color. Also, it smells sooo good, it's smells like fruit candy^0^~

Finally, I went to the body shop and just picked up two things. First are cotten pads...boring, haha

I like to try cotten pads from different brands and see which ones work the best^0^~

I also got a body scrub, this is the Spa Wisdom XIMENIA & SALT scrub. I haven't tried it yet, I'll report back later. I like salt scrubs a lot better than sugar scrubs because I think it leaves a very clean feeling.
I am really excited to try this one~

FOTD: Soft Complexion + February Used-Up Products

Hello everyone, it's finally friday, which means my spring break officially starts!! Woo-hoo^0^~~ Today I am going to do a quick face of the day and also show you the products I used up in february. Because some people asked me whether I can use up all the things I buy, and the answer is for skincare, YES 100%, for makeup, maybe not...haha^0^

ok, starting with my look of the day. I just did a soft complexion look, using very soft brown and peach shades, which are my favourites now.

Close up of the eye makeup. I used a light peachy color all over, and a medium brown on top of the peach, and used a little dark brown on the outer color. I used a cream color as brow bone highlight. I know, this is just the same look I always do, so that's why I think there's no need for a tutorial, haha^0^. I will try to think of more unique looks for tutorials now, because I don't want to do the same look all the time either.

Finally, I forgot to take a picture of the lipstick I used, it was maybelline colorsensational in 025 pink please.

OK, now onto the products I used up in Feb. I used up a lot of stuff actually, which means I probably won't use much up this month cause I just started using new ones.^0^

I used up my Naruko eye gelly, this lasted quite a while, about 4 months, I think.
I also used up my second jar of estee lauder Hydrationist maximum moisture cream. I have raved about this a lot of times, and this is already my second har done. Each jar is 1.7 oz, it lasted me about 2 months.

Next, I used up a sample size of the estee lauder advanced night repair eye cream (7ml) and the mandom moisturizing serum (1.7 oz.). I really like getting eyecream samples, because a little jars lasts quite a while.

The last bit of skincare. I finished the Paul & Joe moisturizing lotion (it's a toner), I LOVE LOVE LOVE this toner, because I really really like P&J scent, it's a very refreshing orange flower scent. Also done with the NARUKO makeup removing mousse. This is sad, because I love this makeup remover so much, I still have a lot of other ones laying around to try, but after I finish all those, I'll definitely repurchase this one.
I am also really proud that i finished the Eucerin moisturizing body lotio. This one is HUGE (400ml), and I am finally done with it, yeah~^0^ I use body lotion every time after shower.

ok, I also finished up some makeup products, which very rarely happen, haha^0^.
First is my LM mineral foundation, yes, today is the lash day I used it, which is in my tutorial. I have a backup already, so no need to worry, haha^0^.
Also, the maybelline lip balm my mom got me from china. I liked it a lot, it's very moisturizing and has a orange scent. I don't think you can get this in the U.S. though.

Finally my beloved MUFE HD primer 02 is gone. I had this for one year and 3 months, I think, and I'm finally done with it. I don't use the same primer every day, and that is why it took me so long to go through an entire bottle. But I loved this primer a lot.

OK, that is all for today. It started raining this afternoon, which is aweful, hope i will get some nice sunny days, so I can do some looks for you all.^0^ Thank you very much for reading.

How to wear BOLD lip colors--In a natural way~

Hello everyone! This post is finally here, haha, sorry for the delay. Today I am going to show you FOUR differenet ways to wear bold lip colors, no matter it's a lipstick or a lipgloss, no matter what kind of finish the lip product has, you can turn them all into a very natural look. Sometimes, I get really bold lip colors for a specific look, and then just trown it in my drawer and never use it again; sometimes, you get a color from your mom that is too mature for you. You can always try these ways and make them look good. I hope these tips are helpful, and let's get started~

Here are the four lip products I am going to use to demonstrate the techniques.

Swatches for the colors (left to right):
Maybelline Water Shine Liquid Diamond lipgloss #161 (almost appear red)
MAC lipstick in Neon Orange (Amplified cream, very opaque and pigmented)
Maybelline Water Shine Pure lipstick #422-available in Asia only (sheer bright pink)
Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick #055 Pinkalicious (sheer with shimmer)

OK, I am also going to use 3 other products with the 4 colors to make them natural looking. If you have any one of these kind of products, it'll work.
1)A concealer (I found the pot forms works better than liquid ones)
2)A nude lipstick (Revlon Colorburst #070 soft nude)
3)A clear/sheer pink or peach lipgloss (Revlon Superlustrous plumping lipgloss 08 Fuschia Pout-available in Asia only)
Again, any one of these will work.

Tip #1:
Starting with the lipgloss. I am going to use the Revlon nude lipstick and the lipgloss together.

Start with moisturized lip, and apply the nude lipstick all over the lip.

Then dot the lipsloss on the center of the bottom lip (this lipgloss is very bright already, so you only need to dot this on the bottom lip).

Then sip your lips a little bit to blend out the color. Now you should have naturally shiney and blooming lips with bright color at the center and naturally faded out on the edges.

Tip#2:
Using also the nude lipstick, we can apply the same tenique to an opaque lipstick. But this time with a little twist.

Sart also by apply the nude lipstick all over the lips, focusing on the oter edge.

Then dot the MAC neon orange lipstick on the center of both the top and the bottom lips.

Then, use your ring fingure, gently blend it out from the inner lip to the outer edge, so it creates a gradational effect. There you go, a natural, peachy lip color with a creamy finish.

Tip#3:
This time I am using a concealer and a bright pink lipstick (sheer). I found that this technique works especially well with sheer lipsticks, because this time we are applying the lipsitck all over the lips.

Start by dabbing the concealer all over the lips, focusing on the outer edge. I also blend the concealer to the rim of my lips to make sure there's no discoloration. Now your lips should look extremely nude^0^~

Then take the bright pink lipstick and DAB it gently all over the lips, you can also use a lip pencil on the edges of your lips to help define the shape of your lips.

Now you should have a nice matte finish.

Finally, I am going to use the redlipstick from Maybelline (055 pinkalicious) with a sheer lipgloss. If your lipstick is more orange toned, you can use a sheer peachy lipgloss, or you can just choose a clear gloss.

First, apply the red color all over the lips.

Then simply add the gloss on top. The shine from the gloss will sheer out the red color. This will give you a glossy finished lips.
If you want a more satin finish, you can just take a tissue paper, and sip the tissue, this will get off all the excess lip color and give you a nice satin finished lips. (sorry forgot to take a picture of that)

February Favourites~

Hello everyone. Sorry for the absence this weekend, I had a lot going on. But I am glad I made it just in time for February favourites. Today is the last day of Feb. , so it's the perfect day for favourites, right?^0^
In february, I rediscovered a lot of products in my current collection that I have kind of ignored, so hope you enjoy and hope this inspire you to discover something you love from you own collection too^0^~

Starting with base makeup. I re-discovered the Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation primer. I tried this under both liquid and mineral foundation, and it work very very well. My favourite thing about this primer is that the texture is SOOO light. It feels like a moisturizing lotion, and it does not feel greasy or heavy at all.

The foundation of this month stays the same as Lancome Tient Miracle. Although I got the Laura Mercier silk cream foundation this month, I haven't been using it the entire month, and I still used the Lancomce one a lot. You can see from the bottle that I am making a little progress there.^0^

Another thing I am really loving is the MAC Fix+ Lavender Makeup setting spray. I used to not like the idea of a makeup spray, because I thought it's going to mess up my base makeup, but the MAC Fix+ is really amazing, I just hold it about 10 inches away from my face and spary it on. I do NOT pad it in, I just let it sinks in by itself. This way, it doesnot mess up my base makeup, also, it makes my face less powdery and more natural looking. I really recommend this spary, and this is something I'll definitely repurchase.

The next favourite is a new highlight that I discovered. It is the Maybelline age rewined concealer/highlighter. The concealer is pretty nice, but nothing special, but the illuminator side is AMAZING!! It's the most natural highlight I have ever used. Sometimes, when I am too lazy, I just apply the highlight on my cheekbones and T-zone and just lightly powder my face as my base makeup. It's very very natural. I also use this on my dark circles after concealer, this will just brighten up the undereye area even more. I absolutly recommend this to anyone. I am already so impressed that i just want to pick up 10 back-ups, haha^0^

For mascara, I am really loving the Maybelline lash discovery waterproof. I did a review of this in my mascara show done post, you can check it out HERE~^0^ The brush is very precise and it holds curls very very well.

For eyes, I am really loving my Paul&Joe pearl powder in 002. It's kind of like a MAC pigment, but with much better shine. The shimmer in this shadow is really similar to the brown color in the Coffrent D'or SA eyes 01 palette, which is my all time favourite brown. The shimmer in the P&J one is just a little more sparkly and I think it's absolutely gorgeous. I just ordered another pearl powder from P&J, and I am really excited^0^.
Also, I am really in love with P&J products in general, if you guys are warching "The Fierce Wife" (犀利人妻）, which is a Taiwanese drama, you'll what I'll talking about^0^～

Next, for cheeks, I am back to my old favourite, which is the Revlon powder blush (this color is only available in Aisa, so sorry), but the color is EXTREMELY similar to orgasm from NARS, but a little less shimmery.

For lip products, I am really into peachy/coral colors. Two of my favourites are both from MAC. One is the Neon Orange lipstick (the how to wwear bold lip color post is coming tomorrow, I promise!) and the Kissable lip color in "So vain".

Finally, I have a favourite nail color. This one is a pinky purple color from Coffret D'or (PU-19). It actually shows up more pink than purple.

One of my favourite thing about this ring is that it has a elastic band.
Because the band is elastic, it fits on more than one fingure (genius, right?) I don't know if you all have this problem, but when I buy rings, I often can't decide what size to get, because my ring finger will be one size while my middle finger may be another size. However, with this ring, you don't have that problem, it fits perfectly on both fingers, it can also fit on my index finger.

By the way, the one I got was size 5-6. (I am normally U.S. size 6)
Also, I love how the crystals on the ring is very shiney, so it really glizens in the sun.

Makeup Haul: Laura Mercier and MAC~

Hello everyone. I have another haul for you today. I wasn't gonna post this because I am saving most of the products to use in the spring or summer, but due to sammy's (summei0529 on youtube)request, I am going to show you this haul. Sammy is one of my good friends, and she started her new channel on youtube (yeah, sammy!). She has an empire of skincare products and she is super experience with all kinds of skincare. So feel free to check out her channel if you'd like.
P.S.: I am not required to mention sammy or her channel, she is just a friend of mine and I do like her channel myself.

OK, enough rambling, let's move on to the haul.

First, start of with the Laura Mercier stuff. I got their Limited Edition Valentine's day set. I don't think you can get this anymore (sad). I wasn't gonna get this set at all, but sammy tempted me too much, haha^0^.Also, Laura Mercier is one of my favourite western brands. (I have a my favourite brand on the left info bar if you want to know more about what brands I like) But I'm really glad I got it because it comes in a cute pink pouch.

The products inside are also of great quality. It comes with 3 brushes, a travel lip brush (with cap), a angled shader brush (a pretty unique brush), and a cheek color brush.

The set also comes with a blush (left) and a eye shadow(right). The blush is a muted peach color, and the eyeshadow is a shimmery pink.

The last thing from the set is a lip stain. It's called shy pink, a muted rose color, very ver natural and sophiscated.

Swatches from left to right: powder blush in "rose bloom"; eyeshadow in brilliant rose (a totally disappointment, it is sooooo sheer that I have to swipe it 7 times to get what you see in the picture); and the lip stain in shy pink.

I love the laura mercier set, the only disappointment is the eyeshadow.
I also picked up some laura mercier base makeup because they were having a sale that if you by 2 of their flawless skin itmes, you can get a FULL SIZE foundation primer for FREE!! That was an amazing deal because a full size foundation primer costs $30 plus tax, so I just couldn't miss that, haha^0^ (I know, all excuses.)
But anyway, I got the silk cream foundation. I have been wanting to try this since last year, so I finally got a chance to try it. I am in the shade "rose ivory". I know this is a pinky shade, but the silk cream foundations from LM tend to run a little bit yellow, so this shade actually matches me pretty well (Although I have yellow undertone).

I also got a back up of my LM mineral foundation in "Real sand". I am almost out of my current one because it's a travel size that came with a set. So I just purchased a full size one for the coming summer.

Obviously, I gor a free full size foundation primer, yeah^0^~ I have only tried their primer in the mineral formular, so I am excited to try the original formular.

The purchase also came with 5 samples. How lovely~^0^

ok, now onto the MAC stuff. I only got 2 things.

First is my first MAC foundation, woohoo~~^0^ The only MAC base makeup I have tried before was the MAC mineralized skin finish natural. I really liked it and I used it all up. But I am always really scared that the MAC foundations will break me out. Finally, I decided that I'll going to try a MAC foundation anyway. I picked this one up because it's a full coverage foundation, which I donot have, and it is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. So we'll see how it works. I am in the shade NC 20.

Then I got a lipstick. This is from the stylish yours collection. It's called "Neon Orange". Haha, I know you'll probably be thinking that I am crazy because I have never gotten such a bright and crazy color before. However, I really like it and I also really want to do a post to show you all how to wear bold lip colors.

Swatch with only one swipe, crazy right? This is an amplified cream, so it is super super pigmented,

However, when I wear it on my lips, can you tell? Yes, it is the same color, but it looks so natural right? ^0^

room lighting: (I know I have those little "beard", but I think a lot of girls have that and I actually think it's quite cute, haha^0^)

Mascara Show Down Review~

Hello everyone. Happy Sunday. I actually have a lot of homework and a flag football game tonight, woo-hoo, good luck to our team. (No, I am not athletic AT ALL, I'm just playing because my friends are playing, haha^0^）
Anyway, I want to do a review for you all on the mascaras I have been trying. I was on this CRAZY mascara phase last month so I did try out a LOT of them. Some are samples, some are full size. Hope this is helpful for you all who is seeking for a good mascara.
OK, first I want to talk about my lash condition. I have really short asian lashes that points straight down. It's really hard for my lashes to hold curls. So I am mainly looking for length and how well it holds curls. That is also one of the reasons why most of these mascaras are water-proof.
Well, let's get started with a faimly picture, as usual~

I am going to start with eyelash primers. I have tried 2 of them, both in sample size.

First, I'm going to talk about the Lancome cils booster. This is a white base that contains a lot of fibers. When you apply it to your lashes, it will make your lashes look white, but after you apply on mascara, the white color is completely covered.
This primer lengthens pretty well, but although it is called "cils" booster, I don't think it holds curls that well, it even weighs down my lashes a little bit. So I think the formular is just a little heavy for me. However, if you have pretty soft lashes that is not hard to curl, I think this will work very well for you.

Now, moving on to the Shiseido eyelash primer. This primer has received really good reviews, so I was really excited to try it. But it is not that amazing. The formular is a little more dry, so it holds curls a little better, but I didn't think it lengthens well, it does not make a big difference in my lashes with or without the primer. So I am not super impressed, and I would probably not recommend this one.

ok, i'm going yo start with the japanese mascara. I have talked about this one before, but I thought I'd through this in the review too, so you can do some comparison. This is one of my favourite mascara by far. It is the Lash Sculpture masacara by B&C lab, you can get this from adambeauty.com
The applicator is a one sided curved comb, which coats lashes very well. It lengthens and separates lashes very well, and extremely good for lower lahes. The only down side is that the formular is a little wet, so it does nbot hold curls as well. But if you use a heated lahs curler afterwards, the curls holds all day. So I would rate this my favourite masacara so far.

Next, is the closest alternative to lash sculpture, which is the Lash Discovery mascara by Maybelline. It has a super mini wand and very easy to get those corner lashes. The wand is also slightly bent, which makes it easier to apply on lower lashes. I got the water proof formular, so it holds curls very well. However, it does not lengths as good as the lash sculpture masacara, it also does not volumize as well. But overall, it is my favourite U.S. drugstore mascara.

Continuing with the "comb" applicator trend. This is the Rimmel Lash Max Mascara. It also comes with a comb, but the teeth of the comb is more saparated than the lash sculpture one. This one does separate your lashes very well, but it does not do much other than that. It lengthens very naturally, but I prefer masacara to lengthen A LOT. So I think this is more suitable for the people who has naturall good lash condition already. It is waterproof and it does not weigh the lashes down.

Next, I am going to move on to the brush applicator ones.
First one is the famous Lancome Hypnose mascara. This one is not in water proof, which is the main thing, because it weighs my lashes down a lot. It saparates lashes pretty well, however, it does not lengthen as well. It does give your lashes a natural volume, but I don't think it is worth the price.

The same thing happens with the Deficile mascara. I do like the wand a slight bit better, because it is a little slimer and easier to control. However, it is not water proof. This one is not as volumizing as the Hypnose, but it lenghthens better.

Finally, the Hypnose drama. This is probably my favourite out of the 3 lancome ones. It does have a kind of curvy brush, and the applicator is pretty huge. However, it volumize very well, it is very dark and it gives your lashes a natual length as well. I feel like although the applicator is kind of hard to work with, the effect it gives is worth the trouble. Be aware that the formular of this one is a little wet, so it is easier to smuge.

Next, I tried a sephora mascara sample from my birthday kit. I don't like this one at all. The applicator is really fat and hard to work with, it does not lengthen well, and the volume is just soso. So I don't recommend this one at all.

This next one I have is the estee Lauder double wear. The applicator of this one is kind of similar to the lancome deficils. But I think the color of this one is actually darker, so it actually volumize a little better than and lancome one. Formular wise, they are very similar.

This is a comparison of the appilator. Left is Estee Lauder double wear, right is lancome deficils. You can see, they are very similar.

Finally, I am going to review the Classic Volumn express mascara by Matbelline.I also got this in the waterproof formular. I am not a big fan of this one either. The wand is very standard, but although I got this in either very black, it is still not black. It just kind of look greyish. Also, the first day I opened this mascara, I thought it is out, that is just how dry it is. So although it holds curl well, it does not appear black enough and it is not amazingly volumizing either. The lengthening power is also soso. Overall, I would not recommend this one.

So that is all for the mascara I have been trying. I am still testing the kiss me mascara out, I will do a separate review on that one later.

Review: Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate

Hello everyone. I am doing pretty good with posting, right? Haha, aren't you pround of me (just kidding, ^0^). Anyway, today I am doing a indepth review (not short review anymore) on the the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. (So many people have requested this, so here it is^0^~_

I first heard of this item from a youtube guru, Ingrid,(Her screen name is missglamorazzi). She is really cute and super nice. She really likes kiehls, nars, and asian makeup too, so feel free to check out her channel. I linked her review right HERE! If you have oily skin, you can refer to her opinion.
But I was really tempted to try this because of her recommendation. She has really oily skin and she really liked this product, so I wasn't really worried about it breaking me out. I picked this up about 3 weeks ago from saks, and have been using it everyday since then.
It comes in a blue bottle with 30ml (1 oz.) of product. It has a test tube despenser, which is very sanitary and convenient. The bottle is quite thick, so it feels very solid.

The concentrate is a replenishing elixir of pure ESSENTIAL OILS (yes, it is pure essential OIL, so it is not a serum, it is a oil based product. However, it does not feel oily at all). It is suppose to replenish your skin with essential nutritions and revitalize your skin by the morning.

The essential oil, unlike a lot of other oils, feels very lightweight. It is very fast absorbing and has a nice natural scent.It contains Squalane (which is one of the most effective moistrurizing ingredient), botanical lipid similar to the skin's molecular structure. It also contains evening primrose oil (which is where the nice scent comes from), omega-6 fatty acid and lavender essential oil. These natural skin oils and fatty acid sinks into the skin and let the skin repair itseld from the daily environment damages. It can effectively hydrate, soften the skin and also has anti-aging benefits. The extremely soothing scent also helps with a goodnight sleep.

I personally have really dry skin in the fall/winter time, and have combination skin in the spring/summer time. I think this product would work for ALL SKIN TYPES. Ingrid (whom I mentioned earlier) has really oily skin, but she still really like the product. Because the essential oils does not feel oily on your skin, it is the "good" oil that can help your skin repair, it will not cause your skin to break out.

It is suggested to use 2-3 drops of the concentrate every night. However, if you have drier skin like me, I use 4 drops for my face and neck (I mix it with a moisturizing lotion, which I will talk about in my updated skincare routine soon). If you have normal/combo skin, you can use 3 drops. If you are really afriaid of oil, you can just use 2 drops. A good way to use this is add it to your lotion and mix it up between your hands, then apply it to your face and neck. When applying it this way, you won't feel ANY oiliness at all. If just adds a rosy lavender scent to your moisturizer while remaining the benefit of this concentrate and your moisturizer.
After about 3 weeks of use, I am stil only about 1/10 of the way through this product, so I think this product will last you 6-7 months with no problem. I believe this product is $43 dollars (plus tax). You can purchase at any Kiehls counter or online. I think it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price, and I would highly recommended it to anyone who is seeking for a good serum/moisturizer.

Funtion: 5/5 (so worth it!)
Overall: 5/5!!
Repurchase?: Yes! I have recommend this to a lot of people already, and almost everyone in my family wants to try it now, haha^0^~

SaSa Haul, Yeah~^0^

Hello everone.
I just want to mention that I have updated my beauty profile, also my 2011 wish list on the left side bar. You can check it out if you'd like. I always get questions on what I want and stuff like that, so I thought the list would help. Obviously, everything is subject to change, haha^0^
OK, anyway, I have another haul for you today. It's from sasa~^0^ I love shopping at sasa, because I think they have really nice product range and the prices are very reasonable.
Ok, so let's reveal the haul^0^~
Family picture:

I was really excited to see that sasa is carrying dolly wink products now^0^. Although they are always sold out, but if you are lucky enough, I think they have the best price online. I got a pair of power lashes in #5. It's really natural and cute.

I also got the little lash box so I can travel with my falses easily.

It comes with two separate compartment, I put lower lashes in the small compartment and upper lashes in the other. I wish it is divided more, so each pair of lashes gets it's own little spot. But oh well, it's cute enough~

Next, I got the Mizuko Tenshi Flower Moisture Gel. It is a toner+lotion+moisturizer all in one. It is suppose to be a one step skincare. I thought the idea is really cool, because when I am in a hurry in the morning to go to school, I can just slap this on and leave. I haven't really tried it yet, but I will report back with the results.

I also saw this new brand called Majiami. I have heard about it from some Taiwanese bloggers. The speak person for this brand is Rainie Yang (杨丞琳).She is very cute. So I decided to give it a try. I only picked out one thing, which is the Intense whitening spot corrector. I am currently trying it out. I will do a review on it soon.

I just ran out of my Paul & Joe toner (which I LOVE), so I though I'd pick a new one to try. This is the Aloe toner from JUJU cosmetics. It is suppose to be 100% organic or something like that. It is just very standard toner. I just wanted somthing cheap, haha^0^.

Then I picked this one up just because it was on sale. It is the skin food black sugar wash off. I tried it once last night. I think I quite like it, it makes your skin very smooth and soft. But I need to try it a couple more times to tell if it truely has some effect on my skin.

The last thing I got was the Essential Nuance Airy conditioner. I am 2/3 of the way through my Tsubaki conditioner now. So I thought I would pick up a back up. The packaging is so cute^0^~

OK, that is all I got from sasa. I am really trying to pace myself on hauls now. (OK, that is a lie, I just placed a Laura Mercier haul, haha. But you know, I am trying.) Anyway, I will have reviews coming up after I try everything.

Sexy Sweetie-Valentine's Day Look~ 性感甜姐儿妆容

Hello everyone! Finally I manage to do a last minute Valentine's Day look. Thank goodness that we have a sunny day today, so my room has about 1 hr of sunshine, haha ^0^. This tutorial is going to be bilingual again, yeah^0^~ I think there are plenty of natural V day looks out there, so I'm going to do something a little different.It is going to be a sexy and sweet look, so I call it "sexy sweetie" look, haha, hope you enjoy~^0^
大家好，好久不见。今天我终于在情人节来临之前为大家赶出一个性感甜姐儿的妆容。因为这几天都在下雨，难得今天又好天气，所以就赶快为大家赶出这个妆容了。因为网路上已经有很多自然的妆容，所以我想要做一点不一样的妆容。希望大家喜欢哦～^0^

OK, let's start with the eye makeup.
首先从眼妆开始。
I have primed my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion.Then take a copper gold shade (I'm using Chopper from UD) and appy it on the inner 1/3 of the lid, blend it outwards.
我先用Urban Decay的眼影打底霜打底，这样可以让眼妆更持久。然后用一个古铜金的颜色，上在上眼皮的前1/3处，从内向外晕染开。

Then, take a ruby pink color (I am using UD lash call) and apply it on the rest of the lids, blending from the outer corner inwards. You can leave the very center of the lids slightly blank, this will add dimention to your eye makeup.
然后用一个紫红色的眼影从上眼皮的最外侧向内晕染，眼皮的正中央可以不用上太多眼影，这样可以让眼妆更有立体感。

Then, take a black liquid or gel liner (I am using Dolly Wink liquid liner in black). Tight line and also draw quite a thick upper lash line. It does not need to be perfect at this time. (sorry for the lighting change, it is really out of my control, haha^0^)
然后用一个黑色的眼线液或者眼线胶化上内眼线和一条粗一点的上眼线。不用很整齐没关系，因为我们一下会晕染开。（不好意思，因为我房间的光线不太好，所以这张有点怪怪的）。

Now, take a shimmery black color with a small smuger brush, and smuge out the liner. On the outer corner, blend it up into the crease in a circuler motion. I don't really have a defined crease, so I just blend it to up double lid line.
下面就是重点咯，用一个带亮片的黑色眼影，把刚才化的上眼线轻轻晕开，然后再外眼角的地方以画圆的方式吧黑色眼影晕到眼折的地方。其实很多亚洲的女生都没有很深邃的眼折。如果你像我一样，没有很明显的眼折，就把黑色晕到双眼皮折的地方就可以了。

Then, mix the ruby pink shade (last call) and a golden brown shade (smog) on the back of your hand to create a redish golden brown. Apply the mixed shade to the outer 2/3 of the lower lash line.
下面我们要把紫红色的眼影和一个金棕色的眼影在手背上混合起来(我用的颜色是last call 和 smog）。然后把它放在下眼线的外2/3处，从外向内晕染。

This step is optional. But I am going to use a light gold shade to accent the inner corner and the inner 1/3 of the lower lash line, also blen it slightly upwards to the inner 1/4 of the upper lid. This will bring more light to the eyes.
这一步大家可以选择要不要使用。我会用一个淡金色的眼影花在内眼角，下眼线的内1/3处，和上眼皮的内1/4处。这样可以让眼妆看起来更明亮。

OK, finally, we are almost done. Use any highlight shade you like to highlight the brow bone (I am using UD virgin), and then curl your lashes and apply your favourite mascara (I am using lash sculpture from B&C lab). If you do not like using false lashes, the eye makeup is complete. But I am going to add some natural falses.

FOTD: Natural Silvers~

Hello everyone. Happy Monday!^0^ I am super tired though. I slept at 2:00 a.m. this morning, and I don't think today is going to be anything better. (BTW, I really care about my skin, so I normally sleep before midnight. ) This is quite a budy Chinese new year, isn't it, haha^0^. Anyway, I was going to do a valentine's day tutorial, but I accidentally lost all the pictures (cry...), so I just took some finished picture. Maybe I will post one this weekend, but we shall see.
This is the final look~

OK, I am just going to walk through the steps. It is pretty easy.
1) I primed my eyes with UD primer potion
2) Take P&J eye gloss #2 and apply it all over the lid to add some shimmer
3) take the light silver color (the top one) from the Coastal Scents 88 palette, and apply it to the inner 1/3 of the lid, blend it outwards a little bit.

4) Tight line your eyes and line the upper lash line (close to the lashes), drag it out a little bit flatly
5)take the black shadow (just a little bit), pad it on the liquid liner to soften the look.

6) take the dark silver color and apply it right above the black line on the outer 2/3 of the lid, blend it inwards
7)mix the light and dark grey shades to create a medium silver shade and apply it on the outer 2/3 of the lower lash line
8) curl your lashes and apply a natural and lenthening mascara
9) You can add false lashes if you want. But I'm just gonna go without the falses.

For the face makeup:
Someone requested to see a look using the blush combo on my january favourites. So here it is^0^~ I used my highland honey slanted along the cheek bones, and "rhapsody in two) on the apples of my cheeks to add some shine (rhapsody in two is a limited edition shade, sorry, I will try to find dupes for you all)

Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the lipstick I used. But it is Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude (070).

By the way, the earring are from Wetseal. I got it around christmas time.

Short Reviews: Boscia, Estee Lauder, Yu-be, etc.

Hello everyone. Long time not see. Sorry I haven't update for a while. I have been really really busy these days because of school and stuff. I went to a trade show today and I just finished working. The next week is going to be CRAZY, so hopefully I can get through that. (Fingures crossed）
Anyway, today I am doing more short reviews on some skincare and makeup removers I have been trying out lately. Hope you enjoy!^0^

ok, I am going to start with the skincare stuff.
First, the Boscia Vital Daily Moisture SPF15. I have been trying this for so long and I'm almost out of it, can't believe that I am just reviewing it now.

This moisturizer contains rice brain oil, olive fruit oil, wine yeast and marine complex to keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. However, it does not feel oily at all, it feels very light and hydrating. It hase SPF15 and it also contains anti-oxidants.
Packaging: pumped tube (very convenient)
Texture: light cream/lotion
Color: ivory
Scent: natural extract
Function: light but hydrating daily moisturizer
Other: very light weight; great for combination/dry skin
Overall: good product, 4.5/5

Next, the YU-BE cream. I got this cream as a sample about 3 months ago, and I really liked it, so I purchased the full size about 2 months ago, and I finally started using it.
I just saw that it was featured on the Queen Show (女人我最大). So I was really happy, haha^0^. Yu-Be cream is the #1 best selling medicated cream in Japan. It contains concentrated glycerin to hydrate and sooth the skin. It is great for chaped lips, very dry hands and feel. It is very gentle, so it is good for people with very sensitive skin, even on little children. When I was having allergic reactions, the Yu-Be cream is the only non-prescribed moisturizer that I can use. It is extremely hydrating, but not oily AT ALL.It is especially good for the winter time.

Packaging: jar (70g)
Texture: thick cream, but not oily
Color: yellow
Scent: medical scent, but goes away
Function: deeply hydrates the skin
Other: I would recommend this for dry skin only or use on hands and feet
Overall: great product, I love it! 5/5^0^

Next I am going to talk about the mandom moisturizing serum.

This serum is suppose to be hydrating and very gentle. It also should soften your skin and make it like "baby" skin. I don't think it makes my skin super soft. It is definitely hydrating, but nothing more than that, it is just a very average serum, I don't feel like it did anything amazing to the texture of my skin. It is very gentle though.
Packaging: pumped bottle
Texture: light lotion
Color: milkly clear
Scent: no fragrance
Function: hydrating, gentle
Other: very basic and gentle lotion type serum
Overall: nothing amazing, but good if you want to take a break from treatments 3/5

Next, I have the Estee Lauder Idealist eye serum.

This is a really light eye serum. It is suppose to have anti-aging properties and hydrate your eye area. It should help with puffiness aas well. It did none of that...
It is not hydrating enough for my eye area. It does not have obvious anti-aging properties and it did not really help with puffiness.
Packaging: pumped bottle
Texture: light serum (very light)
color: very light pale blue
scent: lightly scented, not very strong fragrance
Other: nothing special
Overall: really would not recommend it unless you have oily eye area, 1/5

Next is the Nivea Soft Moisturizing cream.

This cream is AMAZING!! It is the best drugstore cream I have ever used. The texture is very creamy and light, not oily at all and can be used on face, hands or body.
Packaging: comes in two types, a tube or a jar
Texture: light cream, very moisturizing, non sticky
Color: white
Scent: lightly fragranced, typical Nivea scent
Function: moisturize the skin very well, and softens the texture of your skin too
Other: great value, 4/5

Finally I am going to reviem two eye makeup remover.
First, is the Softymo Point makeup remover. This is the best selling point makeup remover in Japan. It comes in a pretty large bottle (230ml).

The bottle is pink, which is super cute^0^. It actually says on the instruction that after you remove your makeup with this remover, you DO NOT need to rinse it off with water!! (wow) I thought that is impossible, and I don't really feel safe doing that, so I still rinse it off with water. But this does remover makeup VERY well, and it is very gentle too. The texture is kind of interesting, it is a water-based gel, so it actually feels very hydrating when you are removing yout makeup.
I guess for someone who is really lazy that they don't even care to rinse the makeup remover off, you can try that with this remover.
Overall, I think it is a great product. 5/5, and I will definitely re-purchase when I go to Japan^0^~

Compare to the Softymo one, the Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover was kind of disappointing. It is gentle, but it does not remove well. It kind of just feels like water on your skin. It is definitely not as oily as the clinique one, but it is also too gentle for waterproof mascaras and things like that. So I just use it to remove my lip products instead.

Overall, I think it does not cleanse as well as I want, so I would prefer the clinique one and the softymo one over this, 3/5.

OK， now onto my January favourites. I have quite a lot of favourites this month. So let's get started!
Family picture (sorry I left out the nail polish, will include it at the end):

Starting with skincare. This is a recent found. I have seen a lot of people raving about the Queen Helene Mint Julip mask, but I have never tried it. Then I accidently found out the my friend has one. So she kindly "sponsered" this for me to try (Thanks Kaylin). I really really like this mask. I had some really bad break outs, and they were not fading at all, so I was quite upset. I used this mask two days in a row (obviously followed my REALLY GOOD moisturizer). It has really helped clear my pores and calm the acne. I don't think this really helped with clearing up the acne, but is definitely helped with the redness and irritation. I also found that it really helps with shrinking my pores.
I have never tried clay masks before, this is my first one, and I am loving it.

Next, I have the Loreal lash serum. I have reviewed this before, click HERE for the original review.
I really liked it, so I repurchased it this month, and I am really liking it. I think it really does have an effect on my lashes. It makes them slightly longer and fuller for sure. Kevin has recommended this on the Queen show for at least three times, and I think there is a reason for that.

OK, now for makeup. I re-discovered the MAC strobe cream I got a while ago. I have just been kind of neglecting it because I have so many other base makeup to use up. But I have recently fell back in love with this product. It is great if you want to do a very light and simple look. I like to pair it with the L'egere White Multi BB cream the best, because the l'egere bb cream has sheer coverage, so the shine of the stobe cream will show through and give your skin a very natural glow.

For foundation, I am really loving the Lancome Tient Miracle foundation. I know when I just got it, I said that I didn't really like it because I felt that it was a little heavy. But now I have found a new way to apply it and it just looks flawless and beautiful. I only use half a pump for face and neck. I would dot it around my face and use my fingures to blend it out. Then I will use a spong to press it so it adheres to my skin better. It just made my skin look perfect. So this is definitely a favourite!^0^

For this month, I am also loving the MAC Fix+ Lavender. When I bought this product I was kind of skeptical on what it can do. But I am definitely impressed with the redult. It works the best when doing touch ups. I just blot, power my face (sheerly) and spary this on. It gives my skin that dewy finish, just as if my base makeup is fresh. The scent is not too strong, so it did not bother me. Really recommend it!

For brush, I am LOVING LOVING LOVING the ecotools powder brush. I thinkt he quality is AMAZING. It is super super soft and really bouncy. It is just the right density for power. I have tried a lot of brushes from Ecotools. I like them even more than the MAC brushes.

For eye makeup, I have just been using the NAKED palette a lot. It just has all the beautiful neutral colors for every day. I am pretty sure you all know about this palette, so I won't talk too much about it. But I think it has great color combination and the shadow quality is outstanding.

I am also loving to use eyelash primer recently. The one I'm using is this little sample of the Lancome Cils booster. It is really lenghtening, and the fibers are really fine. I might get a full size of this.

Now for cheeks, this combo has been my most used combo this month. I use a powder brush and apply MAC's My Highland Honey all over the cheeks and up to the temples, then use the MAC mineralized blush in "Rhapsody in two" on the apples of tmy cheeks to add some glow. It is super natual and pretty. I highly recommend this combo to anyone with light skintone or with yellow undertone. It will make your complexion really soft and glowy.

For lips, I have been extremely into peach colors. Some ones I really like this month are YSL Rouge Volupte #26, MAC creemsheen lipgloss in "richer lusher", Sephora lipgloss in #14.

Finally, my nail polih favourite is the one I have one right now. I think it is super festive and really brightening. It is "Looks like rain, dear" from sephora by OPI. It is really really sparkly, and very opaque by just one coat. I really really love this polish. It is porbably my favourite polish to date!^0^ I highly highly recommend it~

FOTD: Fast & Clean School Day Look+Mini Haul~

Hello everyone! I was going to do a New Year look today, but it was raining so hard and the lighting was horrible, sorry... But I did do a natural school day look during the week. It's just a really fast and clean look. I know it is kind of boring, but it is quite useful. I did use my VIP beauty product this month---the coffret d'or palette. Hope you enjoy it!

Well, before we start, I want to show you a few products I picked up recently.
First a small lancome haul from their 2011 sping collection~
I have been eyeing on this for a long time now. It is SUPER pretty. I think it is one of the prettiest blushes from all the spring collections.

This is a mineral blush in 01 Glowt Ballarine. It is really really pretty. But I have not used it yet, because I tink it is too pretty that I don't even want to touch it. Haha, if I try it one day, I will do a FOTD with it~^0^

Next, I got a few things from MAC. All lippies!!^0^

First, I got another lipsitck in PLINK!. It is a lustre. Creamsheen and lustre are my favourite finishes from MAC. PLINK! is a baby pink color with silver sheen. I think this color is very versitile. It will suit most skin tones.

I also got 2 mac lipglosses. Yeah, my first experience with MAC lipglosses^0^~~
The first one is a creamsheen in "Richer Lusher". It is a beautifuk coral color. I think it goes really well with "Cut a caper" lipstick.

Then I got a dazzleglass cream in soft dazzle. It is a light pink with golden shimmers. Really pretty!
Both the MAC creamsheen and dazzleglass cream formular are not sticky at all.Yeah!^0^

OK, now onto the quick FOTD. When you don't have much time for fancy eye makeup. Try to focus on the cheeks, it will give you a very awake look!^0^

-MUFE HD primer in 02 Mauve
-Lunasol Water Cream Foundation YO 02 (still not loving it, I guess it is just not for me, because it is one of FUZ's HG. Might sell this in a blog sale??!?)
-Benefit Girl meets pearl as a liquid highlight on my cheekbones
-Laura Mercier secret concealer 02 (undereye)
-Victoria Secret liquid concealer 01 light for spots (This one used to be too light for me, but now it is just right. I am loving it now^0^~)
-MUFD HD powder

Cheek and Contour:
-NARS Laguna bronzer
-Rock & Republic blush in SPANK all over the cheek and blend up to the cheekbones
-Jill Stuart Mix blush 06 Fresh Apricot (the 2 pink shades on the bottom) Apply only on the apples of the cheeks.

On my eyes, I have：

-P&J eye gloss 04 all over the lid
-Coffret D'or SA eyes 01 (peach on the inner half, and brown on the outer half of upper and lower lash line (do not pass the crease).
-MUFE aqua eyes 0L for water line only

My TOP 11 Lip Products!

Hello everyone! Happy friday!! I am so exiced that it is weekend, because this week has been super crazy. Today I want to do a favourite post, because I personally really like reading people's favourites, haha^0^!

Now let's get started! I did cheat a little bit and put in 11 items while it was suppose to be top 10, but I just really really can't choose among these, so I am just gonna do 11 products instead~^0^
Family picture:

I really really like lip products. I have gotten sooooo many lip products in the past year. So these are really hard choices for me.
Starting with lipsticks. I LOVE lipsticks, I think they are so much more natural than lip glosses (no offense to lip gloss lovers, I actually have more lip glosses than lipsticks myself, haha^0^). I like lipsticks for school because I don't have to worry about my hair sticking to my lipgloss when it is windy outside. In the summer, I do use lipglosses more often because I want that shiny effect.
I picked 6 lipsticks, and they are all my absolute favourites.
I think this is a good mix of different brands. Some are japanese and some are U.S. brands. I personally like the Japanese ones better, because I think they compliments Asian skintone better.

Swatches from left to right:
-Lunasol 01 Shiney coral (This is the prettiest lipstick ever, great formular, my #1 favourite.)
-Maybelline Color Sensational in pink please (This is my drugstore favourite.)
-NARS Belle De Jour (a great milktea nude)
-Paul & Joe 04 (a cute candy pink, my most used lipstick)
-Coffret D'or #BE-181 (Very elegant peachy beige color, great for work or interview)
-MAC Cut A Caper (My new favourite from mac, very brightening, great for spring and summer.)

Next I picked 5 lipglosses. All of these are very smooth, non sticky and has great shine. I really don't like sticky lipglosses, although they are more long lasting, but I just don't like how they feel really thick on my lips.
Just a quick note. I recently got some MAC lipglosses to try (the haul is coming up soon). I actually noticed that the Dior lipglosses are cheaper than MAC. Because a MAC creamsheen glass comes with only 2.7g of product and costs $18. A Dior lipgloss comes with 6.3g of product and only costs $26.5. So calculating per gram product, the MAC ones are actually a LOT more expensive than Dior. But I personally feel that the quality of Dior glosses are fabulous. I like them even more than MAC. The one thing I do like about MAC lipglosses is that they have a larger selection of colors.

-Revlon Superlustrous Plumping lipgloss #8 Fuscia Pout (Only available in Asia. This is the first lipgloss I ever own, and it is my most used one till date).

Those are my top 11 lip products. I really really recommend the Lunasol lipsticks, paul and joe lipsticks and the Dior lip glosses.
Now I am going to talk a little bit about color selection.
-If you have skin that has yellow undertone, coral/peachy color really compliments the skintone.
-If you have more of a pink undertone, try cool toned pinks and raspberry rose colors.
-If you have darker skin tones (darker than NC45), try bright pinks/ bright corals and reds.
-If you have super pale skin, try true reds and pale peach/apricot colors.
-If you have olive undertones, try warm pinks and nudes.
These are just colors that I found compliment each skin tone from experience and from looking at other people's makeup. It may not apply to everyone, but it is a good point to start.

Eyelid Base Show Down~All about eyelid primers!

Hello everyone! I miss you all so much, sorry for the absence. I have been incredibly busy with school this week. I still have a lot of work to do today and a big test tomorrow, hope I will do well (fingures crossed)^0^.
Anyway, today I want to do a showdowm review on all the eyelid bases I have. Some of them I have reviewed already, but I think it will be helpful if I do some kind of comparison among them.
Now let's get started!!
Here are all the eyelid base products I have, some of them are just primers, some of them are cream shadows and etc.

OK, the first one is one of my HG eyelid primers. The BareEsentual primetime eyelid primer. The consistency is not too oily, easy to blend, shadows last all day and does not smuge. The only negative about this is it is quite pricy. But this is my second tube already,and one tube along lasted me about 10 months, so it does last quite a while, although the product looks really small.

Next I discovered a recent favourit----Urban Decay Primer Potion. I got a mini size one from the naked palette and I have been loving it so far. It feels a little more oily on the lid than the BE one, but after you blend it out, it does no feel like anything. It is a little sticky though, but that doesn't bother me too much, and it is cheaper than the BE one, so great product!^0^ I will consider purchasing a full size one.

I decided that I am going to try one new eyelid primer everyyear, this year it is the "too faced shadow insurance". (The UDPP came with the naked palette, so that doesn't count, haha^0^) I have heard a LOT of good reviewson this product and my friend in college recommended this to me too, but it was a little disappointing.
The good thing is that it is in a convenient tube. However, I found that the product itself is a little oily. Although I tried to shake it up and apply less amount, it still feels a little oily on my lids. It works fine in the winter time when my lids are pretty dry, but in the summer, it will definitely be too oily for me.
However, the staying power is pretty good. So I think its i still worth the price I paid, and I do like the packaging the best. If UD come out with one that is in a tube, I would buy the UDPP over this one.

The last actual eyelid primer I have tried is the beautymaker brightening eyelid primer. I have done a review on this before. It has a yellow color to it, which is why it is "brightening". However,I think this will only suit people with REALLY oily lids, because it does feel a little drying on my lids. The staying power is average, not as good as the other three I mentioned above. But this one is actually more expensive than the TF shadow insurance, so I think I would recommend UDPP or TF one over this.

Then I am going to talk about cream shadows. I am a BIG BIG BIG fan of cream shadows. I think they are so easy to use, the lasting power is great, and it really adds shines to your eyes.
I have talked about this a billion times already, but my absolute FAVOURITE cream shadows are there Paul and Joe eye glosses. I have all 5 colors, woo-hoo^0^~
The texture is really moisturizing and easy to blend, and the shine is awesome~ These are some shadows I definitely cannot live without.

Moving on to the NYX jumbo eye pencils. These are stick form cream shadows. The textre is very smooth, but not as moisturizing as the P&J ones. They do have great pigmentation, and they are super cheap. I think these will be really good for students or people who don't want to spend too much time on makeup.
The two I have are "Cottage Cheese" and "Iced Mocha"

Next is the Make Up Forever Aqua creams. Some colors are for eyes and cheeks, some are for cheeks and lips. The one I have for eyes is #02. It is a steel grey color. I think this grey is very subtle and very "clean" looking, so even after you blend it out, it still would not look dirty. However, I think these are a little bit hard to work with. They are a little bit hard to blend, and if you don't blend it well, it can look chunky and uneven.
So I think these aqua creams require some technique to make it look good.

Another cream shadow similar to this is the Benefite crealess cream shadows. I have the color "R.S.V.P.". It is a rose beige color. Compare to the aqua creams, I think these are a definitely easier to blend. But the colors donot show up are vibrant and they are not as moisturizing as the P&J ones. But they donot dry too fast like the aqua creams, so they are a little bit easier to work with.

Finally I am going to talk about the MAC paint pots. I have one in "Bare Study”. I know the paint pots are really poular and a lot of people love them, but I am actually not a fan of them. (Not to be offensive to all your paint pot lovers, it just does not for me personally.) I think the formular is a little drying, the texture is not that smooth and the shine is kind of weird. I don't think it flatters me very much. Also, I don't think the help the powdered shadows last just by itself. I still need to apply eyelid primer prior to the paint pot. So overall, I am not a fan of the MAC paint pots.

Adambeauty + Joyce Jewery Haul~

Hello everyone, happy weekend! I have another haul for you today^0^! I actually got this last week, but I just haven't got around to take all the pictures.
I got some awesome things from adambeauty, and a few pieces of adorable jewery from joycejewery.com. One of the items broke, but joyce was soooo nice that she immediately sent me a replacement one. OK, first let's reveal the Adambeauty haul! I did not go too crazy at all. Haha, I am prode of myself.

First I got some new mascaras. I am going through this mascara-craze phase right now. And yes, I got another kissme long and curl mascara, because that will go towards my giveaway!^0^ Woo-hoo~~
This is the Fiberwig one. I have tried fiberwig before, but the one I tried had the standard big straight brush, but this one has a curvy brush, which I though was interesting, so I will try it out and report back~

Next, I got some more japanese drugstore palettes.

Another palette from Visse. I actually quite like these palettes, it comes with 5 colors, and the palette design is great. It is light and thin, very easy to travel with. This time I got N-2, which is a pinky-brown palette.

This one is from Intergrate (I aim to try one drugstore palette from all japanese drugstore brands, haha^0^). The heart-shape eyes (I think...) in BE303. These palettes are EXTREMELY SPARKLY. The shadows are not just shimmery, but "sparkly". However, the sparkles are quite cute, so it is not chunky glitters. I actually think this is a very pretty palette, but I just have to play with it a little more

Swatches starting from top left, clock wise. Yes, the purple glittery shade is pretty powdery. That is probably one thing I really do NOT like about this palette. The three shades in the heart has great texture. The color is on the sheer side though.

Next, I got a Lavchuca lipstick in PK-5. This is from their new spring 2011 collection. The packaging is similar to Dior serum de rouge, but in a cuter way
The texture is AMAZING! I really really like this lipstick line because it is so incredibly moisturizing and the colors are very cute too. THe packaging is great and it is faily priced. I think I am probably gonna get more shades from this line.

PK-5 is a very wearable neutral pink color, great for everyday use.

Then, I got some nail polishes. This is probably the most exciting part of this haul. I was sooo excited for these polishes.
One is PU-19 from coffret d'or and the other one is Sheer gold pink (EX26) from Lunasol.

I tried one the lunasol polish last night already, and I am IN LOVE with it. I think I want more shades now^0^~

I got a cute horse necklace. I was bore in the year of the horse, so I was super excited for this.

Then I got a pair of earrings. It says on the website it is a blue start earring, but it is kind of a purplish blue, which is really pretty. However, the hook is kind of short, so the earrings are kind of hard to put on.

Finally, I got some rings. They are super cute. They are a little large for my ring fingure, they are about the right size for my index fingure. So I think it will suit US size 7(some of them are adjustable, like the bow one)
I got the "little flower ring" too, but I forgot to take the picture...

I love this bow one~^0^ I am a big bow fan!!

Short Reviews: MAC, Jill Stuart, Estee Lauder, etc.

Hello everyone. Today I'm gonna do something I do best---short reviews!!^0^ Haha, a lot of my readers say that they really like my short reviews. So here they are! Today, I am actually going to review some makeup products.

Starting with MAC, I just got two MAC kissable lip colors (I showed you in my previous post). I have tried them for quite a few times, so I thought I'd tell you want I think about them. The two colors I got are "Enchante" (candy pink) and "So Vain" (muted peach.

Color: very cute colors, pretty opaque
Pigmentation: SUPER, SUPER pigmented, kind of like liquid lipstick
Consistency: pretty thick; a little drying
Shine: No shimmer, cream finish
Else: I would not recommend using the applicator directly on your lips because it does not spead well and it is a little drying, I would recommend using a lip brush or dot it on your lips and smooth it out with you fingure. The color pay-off is great even you apply it sheerly.

Next, someone asked me to review the MAC hark the heraldry face kit. Just to let you know, they are limited edition, but you can still get them now on the mac website.
This face kit has three colors: a powder blush in "dame"; a sheer tone shimmer blush in "plum foolery"; and a beauty powder in "oh so fair".

Color: good combination, I am not a big fan of the brownish plum color though.
Pigmentation： great, it's standard mac quality, awesome pigmentation
Shine: not really noticable shimmer other than the sheer shimmer blush
Else: My favourite shade is the "oh so fair" beauty powder. I think it is so flattering for asian skin tones, but I don't think it will show up as well if you have skin darkder than NC35.
Recommend brush: I use either MAC 129 or sephora stippling brush

Now onto the Jill Stuart stuff.
First the lip glosses, I got the set lipglosses. They are super cute!^0^ I have never ever used up any lip products other than lip balms, so I am not too worried about running out of these even they are pretty tiny, they are actually pretty big in size. Each tube contains 9g of products, while the MAC kissable lip color only has 5g of product.
The two colors I have are 04 babt petal and 05 frosted cherry.

Color: absolutely gorgeous, the shades are so cute and wearable too
Pigmetation: pretty sheer, just gives a hint of color, I like to use it over lipsticks.
Consistency: very smooth and hydrating, not sticky at all
Shine: SUPER pretty shine, these are my favourtie lip glosses in terms of shine
Else: The packaging of JS is super cute, so I really like to take these with me in my purse. They are not super longwear, but I'll just reapply them if I need to. I really really like them, and I'm definitely getting more of these when I go to Japan.^0^

Next I have the Jill Stuart Mix blush compact in 06 fresh apricot.
I just got this blush recently and I have been using it almost daily. It is really really cute and bright. Makes you look like Japanese magazine models, I think, haha ^0^. I have been lemming this blush for about a year now, and I think it is probably my best buy for this year so far.

Color: super Kawaii^0^
Pigmentation: really pigmented, good color pay-off
Shine: no shimmer, but has a slight satin finish to it
Else: The brush it comes with is not really really soft, but it is great for picking up just one color and it is ok to use too. The packaging is super cute and convenient. The compact contains 8g of products, which is slightly bigger than a mac blush (6g).
Recommend brush: sephora flat blush brush #42

From Estee Lauder, I have been trying the loose powder for a while now. And truth to be said, I am not really crazy about it. It's the Lucidity translucent powder

Color: translucent
Shine: has a little bit of silky finish to it
Scent: pretty strong fragrance, that's one big reason why I don't like this powder
Size: HUGE!!21g!!! It's more than 2 times the size of MUFE HD powder
Finish:semi-matt
Oil-control: average
Else: The powder is pretty fine, but not as fine as my HG finishing powder---lancome ageless mineral translucent powder. The oil control is just so-so. I am not really oily, so it works for me. It is suppose to have an effect that diminishes fine lines. I donot have fine lines on my face (thank God^0^), but I don't think it would work if you do have them. I tried it on my neck (where I do have some fine lines), and I don't really see an effect. So this was kind of a fail. I would not recommend it.

Lastly I am going to talk about the Kevin VinVin UV makeup base.
I have been using it for about a week now. It have not broken me out, yeah^0^~

Packaging: pretty cute, easy to travel with
Color: translucent on the skin, white in the tube
Texture: light cream, not oily but not hydrating either
Finish: no shimmer, dewy finish, no skintone corrective properties
Function: It is a sunscreen and makeup base combined, but I found it work better as a sunscreen than a makeup base. The staying powder is definitely not very good, about 3-4 hrs. Not as good as the MUFE one, nor is it as good as the benefit one.
But it does act as a very good UV base. I think if you don't need your makeup to be extremely long lasting, it can work for students or office worker who mainly stay indoors.

FOTD: Sweet "Girl Next Door" Look+ Mini Hauls~

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I am so glad that I don't have to go to school tomorrow because of MLK day.^0^Whoo-hoo~ So are you going for MLK day of service? Or if you just want to celebrate the spring semester with a hint of cuteness? Today I will show you this really really simple
"Girl next door" look that is perfect for a service day or school.
Now, because this look is SUPER SUPER easy, I am only going to show you the finished look, and I will write about the steps. This is perfect for beginners or when you don't have mush time because this is probably the easiest look I can think of^0^~

OK, let's begin.
First, I primed my eyes with UD primer potion, then I put the paul&joe cream eyeshadow #04 all over the lid as a base color.

Then take "sin" from the UD naked palette (yes, this is new, I finally got it, and it is absolutely gorgeous^0^~). I apply it only on the center of the lid, just dab it on using a spong tip or a flate shading brush. Also, bring it down to the lower lash line, and apply along the entire lower lash line.
Use "virgin" as a brow bone highlight, use a fluffy brush to blend it out, so it is not too harsh.
Then I used "Naked" to contour the sides of my nose.

Finally, use "toasted" and apply it on the outer color of the lid to add some dimention.

Tight line with a black or brown liner and apply mascara, then you are done~^0^

Finished eye makeup~

Eye makeup used:

Face Makeup used:
-Lancome Tient Miracle foundation "Buff 2W"
-Lancome Ageless mineral translucent powder
-Revlon Age Defining concealer "light medium" (for spots)
-Laura Mercier Secret Concealer #2 (for under eye)

Cheek and contour:
-NARS laguna bronzer
-YSL complexion powder (use a mix of the middle shade and the skin color shade for natural highlight)
-MAC "My highland honey" blush

Lip products:
-Vaseline lip balm
-Maybelline color sensational lipstick in "pink please"

Finished looks~^0^

Well, hope you like the look! Now onto some mini hauls. Just some thing I picked up from here and there.
First, from MAC, I got two of the new lissable lip colors from the peacocky collection.
The pink one is called "en-chantee", the peachy colored one is called "so vain".
There kissable lip colors are incredibly pigmented. They are like liquid lipstick, very very opaque. If you use it alone, it can be pretty drying, so I would recommend using a good lip balm under it and apply it using a lip brush or your fingures for a everyday look. Of course, you can load it on for a very opaque lip color too.

Just one swipe of the colors:

Yesterday, I went to SAKS with my friend. So I picked up two things from kiehl's. I have never try Kiehl's skincare before, but I definitely want to try this brand. But I have so many skincare to finish up at this time, so I just got two things.

First, the midnight recovery concentrate. I orginially have heard this from Ingrid (a friend on youtube). She said it worked really well for her, but she has oily skin, so I didn't think it will be good for me. But recently I have heard fuz raving about it, so I decided to give it a try.
It comes in a pumped bottle. It is actally an essential oil. You only need 2-3 drops each time, because it is really a "oil", not a serum. I have already tried it lash night. It does not feel or appear oily at all^0^~ It is rather calming, the scent is great. I will report back later.

I also got the Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control. I got this because I ran out of my Neutrogena one. But this one is so much more expensive!!! It's $30 for 30ml. I really hope this works well.

2011 Spring Trends Intro~

Hello everyone! Although it is still in the middle of winter. I cannot wait for the spring to come. Because this spring is such a cute season. The trends for this spring is just super girly and cute. So today I am going to introdute you some of the major spring trends, just so it can give you some ideas on what to invest in.
Now let's get started~^0^

Trend #1: Forest Style
Forest style natural looks are really in for spring 2011. I did a tutorial of a "forest style" look, you can refer to it here.
Basically, just that kind of "barely there" look, very natural eye lining, not too much eye shadow and cute watery lips.

Fashion wise----soft materials. Sping 2011 is a very sweet and girly season, soft materials and soft colors (like light pink, ivory, beige, forest green, light blue, yellow, etc.) will give you a more girly and approachable look.

Hair style wise, heavy bangs has been popular for such a long long time. But this spring, it has changed~ Yeah!^0^ In this spring, it is really popular to pull the bangs back or leave it to the sides so your forhead shows through. It will extend your fave shape and will also make you look younger.
You can either tie your hair in a messy bun, pull it up, or leave it down. Soft waves are of course, still really in style.

Trend #2: Pink^0^~
Pink is one of my favourite colors, and this spring is all about pink. Pink blush, lip products, eyeshadows, cloths, accessories are all really in style.

Pink accessories will really add a hint of cuteness to your look. Super big pink bow hair band is a great choice. (Bow is also a really big trend, which I will talk about next.(

Pink highlighter will give you a more heathy look, which will naturally enhance your complexion.

Pink lips! No matter you are a lipstick or a lipgloss fan, go pink!! You can choose a hot pink for a brightening look, a candy pink for a cute look, a rosy pink for a sophisticated look, or a pale pink for a barbie look. It's all up to you^0^~

Of course, we cannot forget the pink blushes. Blush is a great way to make you look youger. Don't be afraid to use it directly on the apples of your cheeks and under your eyes. Blend it out a bit to accent the cheek color. It will make you look extra polished and cute~^0^

Trend #3: Bow
Bow was a big hype during the winter, and it carries through to 2011. Bow headbands, earrings, necklace, belt, shirt and so on are all really nice pieces for the spring, especailly when pink is so in style.

Trend #4: Floral Prints
Floral print was a big trend last summer, and it is still very popular this spring. Since forest style is really in, anything that you can see in the forest also becomes really popular.
Keep the floral pink subtle will give you a very sophisticated "girl next door" look. (Tutorial on "girl next door look" coming soon!^0^ Woo-hoo~)

Trend #5: Glowy Skin
I have talked about this a lot of times, so I am not gonna emphasize on this too much. But glowy skin will enhance your natural features without looking really made up. It is super popular in asia for many years.
Some good products for glowy complextion includes:
-Glowy primer/moisturizer: MAC strobe cream
-Dewy/Glowy base makeup: BB cream; Diorskin Nude foundation; Hourglass Illusion TM
-Liquid highlighter: Benefit girl meets pearl (refer to picture above)
-Glowy blush: Laura Mercier Shimmer bloc(orchid mosaic); MAC Mineralized blush (Rhapsody in two) (Limited Edition)
-Glowy Setting powder: Mac MSF natual (light medium); Laura Mercier Illuminating powder (Starlight)

Imomoko Haul+NOTD~

Hello everyone! I have another haul for you all. I actually will have a lot of hauls coming up, because I kind of shopped a lot during Christmas break, haha^0^...Well, OK, I DID shop a lot! Haha^0^~
I got a second order from imomoko before the sale ended. I basically replenished some essentials and got a few new things to play with.

Betty kindly sent me two free masks~^0^ I don't even think she knows about me or my blog, but anyway, I love imomoko~^0^

First and most exciting, I finally got a Jill Stuart Blush. I have been wanting this for at least one year now, and I finally finally got it. I was so happy~^0^ The blush is #6 fresh apricot. It is too pretty that I don't even want to touch it. So I didn't swatch it. Please allow me to admire it for a few days, and I will swatch it for you all when I do a tutorial with it.^0^

Next, I got the Kevin VinVin UV Protect Makeup Base. I have been getting increasingly lazy these days. I want to do my full makeup while going to school on time. So I try to combine some skincare and makeup steps, so I can speed up the process. This is basically a suncreen and a makeup base 2 in 1. I am testing it out right now and I will do a review on it in 1-2 weeks.

Texture is like a light cream. However, it is not greasy at all, and not sticky either. So it acts as a pretty good base for foundation.

Got a new mascara. I have a bzillion of mascaras to use up at this point. But I saw this on the cosmo makeup award list, so I couldn't help but get it to try.

The brush is kind of interesting.

I got the Lucido-L hair styling water. It is suppose to keep the curls of your hair. I tried the tresemme hair spray and it was AWEFUL!! I hated it so much that I had to throw it away. So hopefully this one will work.

Then, because of fuz's recommendation, I picked up the Shiseido Tsubaki headspa mask. Two of them!! Haha, I really need a scalp treatment for my oily scalp, so we'll see how this works. I already tried it last night, it didn't seem to have any magical results, but I will try it a few times before I do a review.

Finally, I repurchased some essentials. Like KOJI #71 lash curler and the Dolly wink liquid liner.

Then I also got my award from Kevin's contest. I won the one on sharing eyelining tips. So I got a free liner from Kevin Beautymaker. It is in the color-coffee.

It's just a really natural medium brown.

OK, on to NOTD. I have on #25 Victoria by Duri. I used the Seche Vite top coat, so far I am really really obsessed with this top coat. It functions exactly like the name---"dry fast".
The nail color is a cute candy warm pink.

Beauty VIP: January 2011~ (New Series^0^)

Hello everyone! I am back at school, and I am starting classes tomorrow. Although I am still not really in the mood of school, I am glad to be back so I can do more beauty posts for all my lovely readers~^0^
Today I am starting a new series that I am going to do in 2011. It's called "Beauty VIP". Basically, during the first week of each month, I am going to introduce on specific product (or a line of products) as the Beauty VIP of that month. Then I am going to use it during the month and creat FOTD or show you pictures of the results or the VIP products.
The products that made it on my VIP lists are the ones that I ABSOLUTELY loved, and I will continue to use and repurchase.
I started this series because a lot of my readers report that the products I am using are too expensive, and they always ask me what is my favourite or one product I would definitely recommend invest in. So I though this series will really help with that. If you are only going to invest in a couple of products, then the ones on the VIP lists are definitely my top recommendation.^0^

The Beauty VIP of January 2011 is...(drum rolls)...

-Coffret D'or Eye Shadow Palettes!!^0^(Woo-hoo~)

I have four of them. They range from $34-40 dollars, and they are of amazing quality.
I have two palettes from the SA eyes line. (They are in 01 and 03)
Each palette comes with 5g of products.

These SA eyes palettes are the first palettes I tried from coffret d'or. The shadows are really smooth and pigmented, especially the two colors on the side. The highligh color is a little chalky and the cream color base is not really pigmented. But still, the texture of the shadows are great, and the shine is super flattering. It adds light to your eyes without making then look puffy.
The packaging is really cute, and I have to say, the applicator of coffret d'or shadows are the best of all the palettes I have tried. I like them even more than the ones from Lunasol.
I especially recommend SA eyes 01 (if you can still find it) for school or work. It is very versatile and flattering on most people.

Then I got two new palettes from the 2010 fall collection, both are limited collection colors. They are C curve eyes in 06, and 07.

I think the shadow quality of these palettes are even better. They are just as pigmented, (except the first color on the right of each palette, which is a light shimmery color). The shadows are pressed better, so there is almost no fall outs. The shine is just as great, if not better.
I do like the packaing of the C curve eyes palettes a lot. The packaing is even more compact, it is about 50% thinner than the SA eyes palette and very light. However, the mirrow is a slight bit smaller (not a big deal) and the palettes only come with 3.5g of products.
These palettes are around $39 dollars I think, so they are more expensive than the SA eyes palette.

Overall, I think these palettes are of great quality, really nice packaging and very compact. My only complain is that they don't really come out with unique colors. Every collect pretty much all come out with a pink, a blue, a neutral, a green and a purple palette. So they are great for everyday, but if you like more fun colors, these are probably not for you.

I created this blog because I was inspired by other bloggers and Youtube gurus. I also love beauty, so I thought, why not create my own blog, and here it is~ I created this blog mainly to share my beauty experience with other people so we can learn from each other~

2. What kind of blogs do you follow?

I follow other beauty and fashion blogs. I like to read reviews, and look at magazine scans and stuff.

3. Favourite makeup brand?

Wow, this is a really hard question. I can’t really say I have one favourite brand. But if I have to choose, I would say Dior, Kanebo, or Shiseido. Haha, did I even choose??^0^ I think Dior has both great makeup products and skincare products. Kanebo has two of my favourite makeup brands---Lunasol and Coffret D’or. Shiseido has great skincare line and it also has great makeup lines, like Majorlica Majorca. More importantly, shiseido also has great hair products, like the Tsubaki line.

4. Favourite clothing brand?

This is hard too, haha, I kind of don’t stick to one particular brand. I would choose probably ZARA for high end, H&M for lower end (too bad they both don’t have online stores…), and Papaya for casual clothes (Yeah, they have online!! Which I just found out, haha^0^)

5. Your indispensable makeup product?

I would choose some kind of base makeup. Now, it is the Diorskin Nude foundation.

6. Your favourite color?

Ivory and pink~^0^
7. Your perfume?

Not a big fan of strong scents, so no favourite perfume yet.

8. Your favourite film?

Short Reviews: Skincare and misc.

Hello everyone! Happy 2011! ^0^ I know I'm kind of late on this, but still 2011 is here and I wish all of you a wonderful year ahead!
Today I am going to kick of the new year by doing some reviews on the products I have been trying lately. Hope you enjoy it!^0^
Starting with skincare.

I have been trying the Skyn iceland set. It comes with an Antioxidant Calming serum and an Antidote Quenching Lotion.

Antioxidant Calming Serum:
Color: light yellow
Scent: natural extract
Texture: light serum, non-sticky
Function: It is suppose to help with anti-oxidation, calms and soothes your skin while gently moisturize you skin. It cotains lots of plant extract and is suppose to help with revitalizing your skin.
Performance: I think it does what it promises. It is very light and will not cause break outs. It gently hydrates the skin and make my skin look very awake (I use it day and night). I really like this product, and I will consider repurchasing it.

Antidote Quenching Lotion:
Color: white
Scent: natural extract, minty
Texture: light lotion
Function: This lotion is to be used with the serum. It does almost the same job besides being more moisturizing. I did noticed that it gives a cooling effect when applying on yout skin, so i would suggest to aviod your eye area because it may be too strong for the delicate eye area.
Performance: I also use this product day and night. I think it works especially well in the morning, because the minty scent and the cooling sensation really helps me wake up and feels really refreshed. Because the texture is very light, it works well under makeup. If you have oily skin, this can just act as a moisturizer,

Next, I tried a deluxe sample of the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser.
I am only going to reivew the cleanser, because the other samples only last for 1-2 application, so it's really hard to tell if it works or not. But the clease lasted me for about 3 weeks. I use it at night only to remove makeup or just simple cleanse my skin.

Color: semi-clear gel
Scent: natural soy extract
Texture: light gel
Function: This cleanser is also very gentle, which I really like, because I have sensitive skin. It removes makeup pretty well and does not leave me a tight feeling afterwards. But I think the Purity Made simple cleanser from philosophy does almost the same job but is cheaper in price. So this is definitely a great product if you can afford it, but I would just choose the philosophy cleanser instead.

I also have been trying the Rhoto eye drops. This one is for contact lenses wearers. If you do not know about Rhoto, it is a Japanese medical/cosmetic company. They are really famouse of their eye drops, lip balms and so on. I think Rhoto is the same company as Mantholatem, but don't quote me on that^0^~

I really liket his eye drop. I think it works better than the alcon eye drops I used to use. It is very moist but not irritating at all. It immediately relieve dryness and does a pretty good job removing redness. Although it does not claim to deal with redness, I think it does help with anti=irritation.

For body care, I have used up an entire jar of the body shop body butter. This one is in coconut flavor, which is my favourite.^0^ I still have 2 stocked up on different flavors.

You all know that I used to love the Korres body butters. I had 3 tubes, but I ran out of all of them, so I thought I'd try the ones from the body shop.

One thing I don't like about this is that it comes in a jar. I do prefer body butters to come in a tube or pump bottle. Also, I can ONLY use this after shower, because this product needs some heat to melt and but absorbed by you skin. I found that if I apply it withoug shower, it is sooo much harder to absorbe. But other than those, it does a pretty good job moisturizing my skin.
I would still say I prefer the Korres one over these in general, but the Korres ones are of a higher price.

Finally I am going to review the Oscar Blandi Hair serum.

Although it comes in such a little bottle, it has lasted me three weeks and there is still about 1/3 left! Amazing, right? Haha, for this product, you really don't need much. I only use a pea size amount each time and smooth it on my hair before blow drying. It protects my hair and adds a little shime to my hair. Also it has a light jasmine scent, which is really nice. I do use the Fekkai glossing cream after styling, but if I am not going out or anything, this is a pretty good hair treatment by itself.

New Year Resolution for 2011~

Hello everyone! I can't believe today is the last day of 2010 in the U.S. already. I am definitely excited for the new year, and I hope you are too!
So, it is that time of the year again! Time for New Year Resolution.
I have to admit that out of all the things I planned last year, the one thing I completed the best is "buy lots of makeup", haha^0^~
OK, now let's plan the new year! Hopefully this year, I will be able to complete everything better.

Beauty Resolution:
1. I am going to spend less money!!! I have been trying lots of new stuff this year but was unable to finish anything. So I am going to try to finish up some of the products I have. Maybe I will do a project pan???

2. I am going to keep a more regular sleeping schedule. I am going to try to sleep at 11:00 p.m. and get up at 7:00 a.m. I know this will be the hardest thing to do ever! But this will be extremely beneficial to my skin.

3. I will try to work faster when applying makeup. It normally takes me about 40 minutes to do makeup in the morning, and that is wayyyy to long. So I am going to try to cut it down to 20 minutes. ^0^

4. I am going to try at max 3 foundations in the coming year, I got 9 new base makeup in 2010. I have wayyyy to many base makeup (My mom also got me 4 BB creams from Korea). So I have like 15 bottles of mase makeup to finish and I really don't like to waste things. So I am not going to try much base in 2011, especially since I found my HG foundation already (the Diorskin Nude).

5. My last resolution is to bring more tutorials on my blog. I know a lot of you realy like my tutorials, so I will try to work on that. Please feel free to leave me any requests too, if you want me to recreate or do some look you really like.

Other Resolution:
1. Spend more time on reading, I really need to start reading books again. It's been too long, haha^0^

2. Meet more people and hang out with friends more. I used to spend a lot of time with my computer, I probably should hang out with my friends more.

3. Use my planner. I have been neglecting my planner this past year, so I forget things a lot of times. In 2011, I am going to start using planner again. I think it is a great way to keep me on schedule.

4. Do things ahead of time! I have always had the problem of doing things ahead of schedule. I am a pretty last minute person, unless it comes to group projects or really important assignments. For my everyday reading and stuff, I am pretty last minute, which is bad, haha^0^

5. Utilize my weekends. My weekends for this previous semester is basically "sleep+eat+blog/shopping+watch TV". It's like that every week. I really think I need to start doing some school work instead of wasting my weekends in 2011.

Dry Skin Therapy-10 Useful TIPS~

Hello everyone! I know I have been away for quite a white, but I had some really good time with my family. But I miss all of you a lot, so today I am going to do a post about how to treat extremely dry skin.
During the winter time, most people's skin becomes more dry than that during the summer. My skin becomes REALLY REALLY REALLY dry. My skin started flaking during october, so that is never fun. Dry skin not only makes makeup caky, it also can cause pre-mature wrinkles and allergic reactions.
Now I am going to introduce you 10 tips that can help you get through the dry winter season; let's get started!

TIP #1: Drink more water.

Water makes up 70% of our body, it is very important to our daily activity and OUR SKIN. I found that my skin is a lot more moisturized of I drink 8 glasses of water daily. It also helps me loose weight ^0^, which is even better, haha~

TIP #2: Keep a cup of water beside your bed when you sleep.
Water evaporates. So even we layer on a lot of moisturizer, the water in our skin still evaporate slowly. Keeping a cup of water beside your bed will alightly increase the humidity of the room, which will slow down the speed water evaporate from your skin.

TIP #3: Wash your face with warm water at night, and cold water in the morning.

At night, your skin is about to rest, so you want it to absorb as much moisture and nutrition as possible. Therefore, washing your face with warm water at night will open up your pores and speed up your blood circulation so your skin can absorb the skincare your put on.
In the morning, your skin just woke up, you want to refresh your skin. Also, during the winter, the exterior temprature is very low. So you want your skin to adjust to the environment outside. Therefore, you should wash your face with cold water, so your skin can be refreshed and ready for the cold outside.

TIP #4: Exfoliate regularly if you have flaking problem.

Exfoliating your skin is extremely important if you have flaking problem. I used to think that since my skin is very dry already, I should not exfoliate anymore. But that is a wrong conception. Your skin will not be able to absorb new skincare if the dead skincells are not removed. This applies to you face and body. If you have sensitive skin, use a more gentle exfoliator, like a gel or cream one.
You can also use a Q-tip to dip in a little bit of lotion, then rub around the flaking area. This is a good way to exfoliate targeted areas before applying makeup.

TIP #5: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.

The cleanser you use can really make a difference. If a cleanser makes you feel really tight and dry after you cleanse your face, it is too stong for you. A more gentle cleanser can effectively remove dirt and makeup without drying out your skin. My favourite one is the Philosophy "purity made simple" cleanser.

TIP #6: Use a moisturizing toner, serum, or essential oil.

For people with oily skin in the summer, you can just choose a more moisturizing toner. A lot of brands has light and enriched toner. You can simple swich to enriched toner and that will be enough.
For people with mildly dry skin. Consider using a moisturizing serum, something that contains lots of hyaluronic acid. A good one I have used is the JUJU cosmetics one, and I have also heard good things about the Dr. Wu one.
For people with extrenely dry skin like I do. You can consider using an essential oil. The one I am currently trying is the Bio-oil. A lot of people think anything that has "oil" in it will cause break out. That is not ture. Good essential oils provide your skin with moisture but would not clog pores and cause break outs.

TIP #7: Use moisturizing masks or night gellys.

When your skin is extremely dry, it needs more nutritious and more intensive care. A sheet or cream mask full of essence will feed your skin with lots of moisture (make sure you exfoliate well before using any mask).
I also recommend the Naruko Night Gellys if you do not have time to do a mask. It is very moisturizing, yet very light. It can be used daily.

Tip #8: Use a good moisturizer.

A good moisturizer helps lock in the moisture of your skin. Don't be afraid to use a cream that is a little thicker than what you use in the summer. A good moisturizing cream should not clog your pores. One of my all time favourite moisturizer is the Estee Lauder Hydrationish Maximum Moisture Cream. You can choose either the dry skin one, or the combination skin one according to your skin type.

TIP #9: Use a hydrating liquid or cream foundation.

In the winter, your skin is in a very dry phase. So after all the skincare, your skin can also get dry during the day. To prevent your makeup from being caky. I would recommend using a hydrating liquid or cream foundation. This will make your base makeup look more dewy and natural. My favourite foundation so far is the Diorskin Nude foundation.

TIP #10: Avoid powder, use cream products.

When you apply powder on your face, it can absorb the moisture of your skin and make it become even more dry. So during the winter, I try to use all cream products, such aas cream blush, cream eyeshadow and so one. This will help my skin from getting even more dry. If you are afraid that your makeup will wear off, you can use a mineral powder and set only the T-zone area. A good setting powder I use is the Lancome Ageless Mineral setting powder.

Foundation Review: DiorSkin Nude +Little Jewery Haul

Hello everyone! I am now in Virginia with my cousin for his interview. It was quite a long road trip, but pretty fun as well. Today I am going to review the Dior foundation and show you a little haul I got at American Eagles last weekend.
So here we go!

I got this foundation when I got the $20 coupon from sephora a while ago, and I have be religiously trying it daily. I have to say this is probably the best liquid foundation I have EVER tried.

The packaging is very nice, definitely Dior quality.

I am in shade #20. This is a perfect match for me.^0^ Yeah~ finally!

The texture is rather liquidy.

Packaging: clear glass with a pump, convenient, lighter than the Lancome tient miracle.
Color: I am shade #20; I am NC20 in MAC
Texture: It has a light lotion texture. It's very fluid, kind of like the Paul&Joe protective fluid foundation.
Coverage: sheer to medium
Finish: natural and dewy
Function: This foundation contains 100% natural mineral pigments. It also has 55% mineralized water to keep your skin hydrated. It only has SPF10, which makes it very picture friendly, especially when using flash. The foundation is very hydrating, super easy to blend and does not cake up on my super dry and flacky skin (I do recomment exfoliating if you have visible dry flakes). During the winter time, this foundation stays on my for up to 8 hrs without smudging or transferring. It also does NOT oxidize AT ALL on me, which is really impressive.
Overall, I really really like this foundation. Ever since I got it, I have been neglecting all of my other base makeup products, because I really think nothing is comparable to this foundation. I ever prefer this over my BB creams, because the finish is just really really natural.
I highly recommend this to anyone. I have also heard that it works well on combination to oily skin too. (Although I can't guarantee anything, but I would recommend you getting a sample from sephora to try it out.)I can really say that this is my HG foundation now^0^~

OK, now onto my super small jewery haul. I just got 2 items from American Eagles.

First, I got a really cute bow ring. I am normally size 6, but this one is a little too big, even for my middle finger. I should probably pick size 5. But still, it's very simple and cute.

Then I picked out a set of beaded braclets. It's really cute and pretty casual, which I really like. I think the little clover design is addorable.^0^
