Tutorial: Forest Style Inspired Look~

Hello everyone! I have another tutorial for you. Today, I am going to do a "Forest Style" inspired look. "Forest Style" is originally from Japan. It means girls who has a really fresh and natural style. Forest Style girls do not like to move with the fashion wave, they normally go with natural and soft colors and has a very soft and gentle character, just like people who comes from the forest/nature.
I really like this style and I hope your enjoy this tutorial!

Here is the look. Is you like it, please keep reading!

This is the eye palette I am using today. It is Visee Glam Nude eyes N-4 Khaki Beige.
It's a really pretty khaki/green neutral palette.

First, I primed my lids with the Beautymaker eyelid primer and then applied the Benefit Creasless cream shadow in RSVP all over the upper lid.

Then take the second color on the left, a goden brown color, and apply it all over the lid.

Next, take the light green color on the right and apply that on the inner 1/3 of the lid.

Tight line with a black liner and then line your upper lash line with a liquid liner. Try to keep the upper lash line as thin as possible. You can use gel liner too if you'd prefer that.

Look, if you keep the lining thin enough, it will look really natural.

Next, take the dark forest green color and blend that right over the upper lash line and blend it upwards a littl bit on the outer corner. This will make the lining look more natural. Blend the color on the outer 2/3 of the lower lash line to balance the look.

Lastly, take the champaign color and blend that on the inner corner of the lower lash line. Then apply your favourite mascara.

If, you are just going for a natural everyday look. You can stop here and you are finished. But I am going to actually make this look a little cuter by applying some falses. (Haha, actuallly, I just want to kind of play with my new falses.^0^)
The falses I am using is the Model 21 false lashes in No.7. I used DUO lash glue to apply the flases.

Now, we are really finished!

Face and cheek products used:
底妆和腮红:

For lips, I used NYX round lipstick in sky pink and layered it with a little bit of sparkly clear gloss on top. Sorry I forgot the picture. Because I did this look in the afternoon, so my room didn't really have very nice lighting, sorry about that. I hope I still look "forest styled", haha^0^

Black and white looks good too!

That's all for today. I had this post in Enligh and Chinese. I hope you all enjoyed it. Thank you for reading!
Stay pretty and stay tuned!

Sephora F&F Haul-Part 1

Hello everyone!
I just got my first F&F haul from sephora yesterday and I am really excited to show it to you. This one is kind of boring, I placed another one today, and it should come in next week.
The Sephora F&F event runs till Nov. 3rd and EVERYTHING is 20% off store wide! So don't miss it!^0^
OK, now let's see what I got. This haul has mostly necessities, I think, haha^0^

The only makeup item I got was a Laura Mercier Bronzing powder in Dune Bronze. Since I hit pan on my Laguna bronzer, I thought I would try a new one. This one is lighter in color than the Laguna one, and I think it will be more natural.

Next, I got a sephora brush, this is their stippling brush. I tried it with liquid foundation today, and I don't really like it with liquid foundation. But it does well with powder or cream blush.

New, hair stuff! I am obsessed with hair products recently, especially Fekkai hair products. I tried a sample of their glossing cream a while ago and really liked it, so I picked one up. I just got the travel size one because I don't use this everyday anyway. Also, you only need a TINY amount each time, so it shouldn't run out too fast.

Another hair product I got was the Fekki Volumizing hair spray. I really liked the volumizing shampoo (which I will do a review on this weekend^0^), so I thought I will try this out. Since I only wash my hair every other day, on the days when I don't wash my hair, my hair can get really flat.

Next, more suncare items, haha. I ran out of my Neutrogena sunscreen again (3 bottles already since summer started), haha^0^, I am a suncare freek! This time I got the Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion with SPF 60 PA+++. This can be used for face and body. I am not sure if it is oil free or not, it doesn't say. I tried it today, it is definitely not drying. This lotion is very light in texture and it is pretty liquidy; it smells nice too!
Hopefully this does not break me out! I will do a review on it later.

Because I just finished my Naruko brightening serum, I got a serum from Boscia. It is their Antioxidant Recovery Treatment C. It contains 10% of vitamin C, parsley, and jojoba leaf extract, which will fight blemishes and helps prevent and repair the appearance of aging skin. Texture is kind of hard to discribe. It is kind of between a gel cream and a light cream. I thought it was quite interesting~

And that's it! Not too much, right? Well, kind of...haha^0^ I have a part two coming next week, so...
Stay Pretty and stay tuned!
Love U all~

Top Nail Polishes and Other picks for Fall 2010

Hello everyone. I am glad you all liked my last favourtie post and someone requested a nail polishes and fashion picks too. So I am soing that for you all today.
First, I am not very crazy about nail polishes, and my collection is still pretty limited now because I don't really have the time to paint my nails, and also my nails get damaged really really easily, so I am kind of afraid of nail polishes.
If any of you know of any good nail treatment porducts that will prevent my nails from cracking, please let me know in the comment bar below, thanks!^0^
Ok, so here are 5 nail polishes I picked out for this fall. I think some of them are suitable for the winter time as well, so let's get started!

First up, grey colors! Muddy, neutral and grey toned colors are really really popular this fall. This on is a new nail polished I picked up from a drugstore. It is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro nail polish in 270 Steel grey. This is a muted grey color with purple undertone, which is really pretty, I think.

I am wearing this color today!^0^

I love red color for the fall time. A lot of people are afraid of red, but I think when you find the perfect red for you, no matter it is a nailpolish, a lip product, a shirt or a bag(you'll see my favourite red bag later in this post^0^), it really give you a very warm, bright and elegant look. It also makes your skin look brighter, I think, haha^0^
This is Mr. Right Now by OPI, which is my favourtie red nail polish. It is a dark wine red with no shimmers, really pretty!

Next is a nude/beige color from Duri Cosmetics (you can find them in nail salons or online at duricosmetics.com). This color is $417 lovely in lace. I love to wear this ubder a glittery nail polish. It really flatters asian skin tones.

I knew blue/lagoon colors were really popular in the summer, but I think they are also suitable for fall and winter. Because of the military trend, army green and navy blue became really polular and I think the sephora my OPI "mermaid to order" will just be a little pop of color when you wear it with a navy or black outfit.

This next one is my all time favourite color. It is called "Hot Ice" from Duri Cosmetics. This color just makes me look so fresh and nice. I think this will also be a great color for the winter time.

Now, let's move on to the other random picks. I haven't purchased any new clothes for the fall (spent all my money on cosmetics, haha^0^), but I do have a few things to show you.
My favourite colors for the fall are red and gold. Here is my favourite red bag. I got this as a gift from Korea. I love the simple design and it is so cute!^0^

Another must have for this season, at least for me, is some kind of gold accessories. I think when you wear the right gold accessories, it can make you very fashionable. It will also warm up your complextion.

Ok, now onto the random items. First, I think fall is a great season for reading. I love reading outside during the fall, the weather feels so nice. A book I am currently reading is Blindness from Jose Saramango. This was a Nobel Prize Winning book from 1998.

Next favourite is chocolate, haha, you may have guessed already, yes, I have to have some kind of food favourites. I love chocolate, but only dark chocolate. My current favourite kind is the Godiva 72% dark chocolate. I love the taste, it is just right, not too sweet, not too bitter. I heard that chocolate helps with thinking too, so I always eat a block of chocolate before taking large tests or exams. Haha, does this count as a study tip??

Last one is really random----Vitamin C! I get sick really easily in the fall, so Vitamin C helps with the immune system. Also Vitamin C is one of the most popular ingredients in a lot of whitening products.^0^ Although I don't think taking Vitamin C caplets can help whiten your skin, but it can't be bad, right.

OK, that completes my fall 2010 top picks. I will have more posts coming up soon!
Thanks for reading!
Stay pretty and stay tuned!
Love U all~^0^

Top Makeup & Skincare Picks for Fall 2010

Hello everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. I am getting more and more busy since as it goes into November, tests and finals are coming up soon, but I will try my best to keep up with posting.
Since I never do monthly favourite posts, I though I will do a seasonal favourite post, I guess, haha^0^. Anyway, today I am going to show you some top fall picks for this fall. Of course, I am not saying that you need to go out and by all these, but these are just some items I think I personally definitly need for this fall and I would recommend to people who have similar skin condition as I do. So let's get started!^0^
Frist, makeup wise. It took me a long time to narrow it down to 5 items (I cheated a little bit, haha^0^), but I think these are definitely qualitative picks for fall 2010.

Starting with base makeup. You all know that I tried a billion base makeup this year. I haven't done my reivew on the Lunasol and Lancome one, but I have tried them both and out of EVERYTHING I have tried so far. I think I would recommend BRTC Jasmine Water BB cream for the fall time for the following reasons:
1) This BB cream is really hydrating but not oily.
2) It lasts all day with a loose power and does not exaggerate dry flakes.
3) It contains skincare ingredients and SPF30.
4) It offers sheer to medium coverage and is buildable.
5) It is in a tube form so it is travel friendly.
6) It does not have a heacy scent and is good got sensitive skin.
I think out of all the base makeup I have tried, this BB cream performed the best. It is around $30 (I think), but it is well worth the money you spent!
For setting powder, I recommend the Lancome Mineral Setting powder. It appears pink in the pot, but goes on translucent. It is a "mineral" setting powder, so it is gentle and great for sensitive skin. It is also really really light weight and a little bit gives you a beautiful semi-matte finish.

For cheeks, I chose a shimmering blush, because I think since we kept the foundation semi-matte, a shimmering blush will give you that beautiful glow. I recommend the Laura Mercier Shimmer bloc in Orchid Mosaic. This is a wonderful pinkish purple color. When I just got it, I was kind of skeptical about how it will look on me, because purple blush is just kind of scary to me. But after I tried it, I am just addicted to this blush. It has a very beautiful pink undertone to it, which gives you the most perfect and subtle glow. It also goes not make you look cacky at all! This is definitly a must-have for me now!^0^

The last thing for face is a complexion powder. I never had the habit of using complxion powder until recently. I re-discovered the YSL "Corrector Powder for the Complxion" I got last year. This is a great fall item, becaue I can use this as an all-over setting powder, a highlighter or a blush. When you use it all over, it give your skin that celebrity glow and also gives you skin a warm complexion. I also sometimes use the rose color as a natural blush color or the other two colors combined as a highlighter. The finish is really natural and great for the fall season. It looks the best under yellow lighting!^0^

In terms of eye palette, I recommend the Coffert D'or C-curve eyes in 06. This is a limited edition palette for this fall. I did a look with this already, you can check it here if you have not read it yet. Neutral colors are really in trend this fall, and I think this palette has the best combination of neutral brown with beautiful shimmers. The quality of the shadows is also outstanding! You can get this from adambeauty.com or other websites that sell Asian makeup.

Last for makeup----lip products! Dusty or muted colors are really in style this fall. For lipstick, my favourite is my new Chanel Rouge Coco in #5 Madamoiselle. It is a beautiful coral red with a hint of pink in it. It is a very subtle and elegant color, great for school or office environment. For lipgloss, I am loving D'or Addict Ultra lipgloss in 157, it is a pearl finish. The color is a dusty rose with very fine golden shimmers. The best thing about D'or lipglosses is that they are not sticky at all, and it even plumps my lips a little bit. ^0^

OK, onto the skincare items. You have all seen these items before, so nothing new, but I picked each on of them for a purpose and I think these are great items especially for the fall season.

Starting with cleanser, I have talked about this cleanser a million times already, so I really don't have much to say anymore, haha. But this is my favourite cleaser so far becaue it is effective yet gentle, and doesn't make my skin feel tight.

Next is the Philosophy eye and lip firming cream. I will do a full review for this very soon. But I like this more as a lip cream than a eye cream. It is very moisturizing and it even lightens the fine lines on my lips and lighten my lip color a little bit after I apply it.

Next is sunscreen. You all know that I am a suncare freek ,haha, because I am so afraid to get taned and I get tanned really really easily. In the fall, sunscreen is a must still. But if you are wearing a foundation with a high SPF, like the BRTC BB cream, you can choose a lighter sunscreen. My favourite one is the Genaiesa Moist White Sunscreen lotion. I have also talked about this before. This sunscreen is soooo light, the texture is even lighter than a sobert cream, but it is really effective and has PA+++. This sunscreen actually makes my face feel moisted and dewy instead of oily and dry. Too bad I can't find this anywhere online yet, but this is my all time favourite sunscreen.

I am a big fan of masks, because I think masks are the most effective treatment for any skin concerns. I just reviewed the Naruko night gellys in my last post and you all know that I love them. I think they are the best skincare item for the fall because they will lock in the moisture in your skin. My skin gets flaky and sensitive in the fall, but even since I started using these night gellys, I haven't esperience as much problem as before. I would definitely recommend these to anybody, even people with combination or oily skin. If you have oily skin, you can choose the tea tree nighr gellys instead.

Last but not the least, I think sheet masks are also great choices for the fall. My current favourite is the Silk Whitia Hanfang Antioxidizing mask. I will also do a full review on this soon. I like this better than the regular anti-oxidation masks freom silk whitia. This masks is really effective, it hydrates my skin, brightens the complexion and is very gentle, a great choice for the fall time.

Ok, these are my top makeup and skincare picks for this fall. If you what to see more top picks, for example nail polishes, fashion, etc, please let me know in the comment bar below.Thank you so much for reading!^0^
As always, stay pretty and stay tuned!
Love U all~^0^
